I think it is said about the young woman who has post partum depression, though. What the heck is her husband doing when his parents are running her down like that? What is he going to do if she goes off the deep end and hurts herself and/or their child because she couldn't get the help she needed?

Which one had the post-partum depression? My own mother was in therapy for that for 10 years, back in the 50's/60's when it was not well understood at all. She went through the electroshock therapy and tried to commit suicide. She was on mood elevators in the morning and tranquilizers at night. Thankfully, she never tried to "off" my brothers or me (or our Dad). That stuff is nothing to play with.
