Thanks. Yes, Dad did stand by her. Hid the sleeping pills so she couldn't find them and take them all at once. I was way too young at the time to know what was going on. I only remember being shipped off to my Grandparents' for six weeks when I was about 8. Turns out that she was in the psych ward in a hospital for six weeks after making a suicide attempt (she found the pills).

The Lord actually healed her miraculously (I know, sounds weird, but it happened). She had a few good years, but then she developed breast cancer and died. That was about 31 years ago.

I am so sorry. I am glad that she was healed of her mental illness. That was a blessing. At least you got to know your mother as she really was before she died.
