You have taken isolated quotes and added things he hasn't said.

I have no idea how accurate those quotes are, nor if they were in a context that changed their meaning.

Nothing I have ever heard Billy Graham say indicates that he believes 'all roads lead to heaven.'

I have seen that he has said that his call was not to preach judgement, but rather love. I have no problem with that.

Where were you back in the 90's Graham did indeed promote bjclinton as making a 'good preacher'? You are ACCUSING me of making RASH accusations yet you willingly ignore the HARM the Rev did in giving the pervert Clinton a huge pass.

The harm done to this country by the Clintons has no measure and the Rev never took bj or his in name only wife to task for that harm.

By the way in my area the most "popular" church are part of the Graham ministries and the majority of these people voted for Clinton, Gore and most likely JFKerry.

Now Christ told Peter to "fish" from the right side of the boat and Peter was not fishing for fish. I will take Christ's words over a flesh man who has no ability to discern which side to fish from.

I believe Juanita Broaddrick, and Rev Graham seems to have never heard of her or doesn't believe what Christ taught about the penalty of this sin is. Juanita is every bit as important to the Heavenly Father as bj and his in name only wife are as it is written the Heavenly Father is no respecter of persons, unlike the Rev Graham.

Now before you go and say that Christ never specifically said anything about 'rape' He made the old part of the new and He did reference Moses.

Wow. You draw a lot of extreme conclusions from very little evidence, don't you??.......................which of course, you are free to do if you wish.

While I strongly disagreed with what Billy Graham said in the 90's, I don't condemn him for all eternity for it, nor do I make the absurd leap to saying he approves of rape because of anything he has ever said.

And I don't disparage the Christianity of those who disagree with me about it either. You're free to make whatever judgements you want to about this man of faith, but I have seen a consistency and the Fruit of the Spirit in him, and observed over the years what he has done in obedience to Christ to further God's Kingdom. (And, to tell the truth, I don't even know if you're actually a Christian).

So, until you make a rational statement of fact regarding this fine man of God with thousands of stars in his Crown, I think this conversation is over......

I went through .ell with my children having to hear day in and day out about the pervert Clinton. Yet I kept hearing day in and day out that 2/3rds of this nation supported him.

Then Rev Graham came out and took old pervert bj's side I lost alllllll respect for the man. Now in case you are not aware there is a huge difference in JUDGMENT and discernment.

Quite frankly I have never heard the Rev ever acknowledge Juanita's existence, which says all I need know about the kind of "spirit" that dwells within.

Hillry started the "VAST RIGHT WING CONSPIRACY" movement as an excuse for the pervert in name only she is married to, and I have never heard the Rev take her to task for blaming a whole group of people for the perverts sins.

Again I will take Christ's words to Peter about fishing from the right side of the boat over the Rev promoting himself for the past 60 years.

Billy Graham is a heretic and false teacher.

On another thread you called Rick Warren a BAD MAN.

Frankly RW, by your attitude and your quickness to condemn everyone who disagrees with you as a heretic and a false teacher and a BAD MAN, you're own credentials as a Christian are suspect in my book.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

(Joh 13:34-35 KJV)

Where's the love, man?

Franklin said his Dad said it in jest, and there is no reason to believe that Franklin would lie.

If someone posted my sarcastic statements made in jest as my actual opinions on subjects, who knows what kind of picture that would paint of me.

To Everyone: Lay off Billy! He's pushing 90 and he's done more for the Lord than any of us.

He's finished his last crusade. If just 1% of the people who came to Christ at his crusades were actually saved by the experience, then that is 10,000 times the fruit any of us will ever produce.

Petty Jealousy rears its ugly head again.

I've looked up the quotes and they are being taken out of context.

Nonetheless, they preserve an opinion of Graham's that he gets from the 1st two chapters of Romans. I can see how he arrives at them, and I'm OK with that.

True. I have no reason to think that Franklin is lying. If Rev. Graham had not said what he said in jest, though, this whole episode could have been avoided. I was surprised that a man who has been in the public eye for so long was caught in an unguarded moment of levity.

Holy Cow! Give the man a break. He's a human being. He jokes just like you do. He puts his pants on just like you do.

The fact of the matter is that if Graham's fellow Christian brothers and sisters weren't so eager to find fault with him and jump all over his butt whenever he opens his mouth, then they could have avoided this whole thing.

Sheesh!

Yes.

Shame on him for having a sense of humor in public, with so many FR critics at the ready to condemn him to hell for it.......

Seems to be some kind of disease around here........

More than 30 years ago I worked as a mail reader at the Billy Graham Association in Minneapolis.

He got letters filled with garbage like this back then too............maybe from the same folks.

Sickening.

Praise the Lord for this faithful servant!

It is soooooo much easier to vilify and attack the man who is actually preaching the gospel than to go out and preach it yourself.

The best way for to negatively impact God's gospel outreach through Graham is for Christians to get disunified. His crusades rely upon Christian unity in the build up and the inviting of friends, family, and neighbors.

It's almost as if a dark power were causing unity to be attacked so others won't hear the gospel.

I think you just did what you have accused me of doing, if you will note I never anywhere condemned the Rev or the Clintons to "hell".

Now you like the guy that is just fine, however, I have the right to state my opinion about the man, and this man was missing in action in upholding the standard that this nation needed during the 90's. I do think Christ had a few things to say about harm to children and this man took up for a freaking pervert and ignored the harm to children.

Say it to him. Privately. Share your concedrn in a letter to him. You don't show love for a man by throwing mud on him on a public forum.

And if you truly loved him, you'd forgive him of his trespasses and you'd be standing up for him on this thread instead of tearing him down.

BTW did you ever stop to think that maybe, just maybe... YOU ARE WRONG?

Why do you hold me to a higher standard than you do him? Did I state any untruths about this man, I think not, yet you call it MUD, what did this Rev throw in my children's faces when he gave the pervert a pass?
