I didn't forget about the rural areas. But the problem is that the conservatives in many of the rural areas don't actually vote Conservative, and sometimes don't vote. Those ridings keep going Liberal, election after election. Not saying you aren't strong numerically, but since it's first past the post...you know how it is. I have some friends from Southern New Brunswick. Even the liberal ones are fairly socially conservative.

22 Conservatives were elected in those regions in Ontario in the last election, and most of the remaining Liberals held to power by only a thread and could easily be toppled...

Also many of those Conservatives are NOT Red Tories, some are strong social conservatives like Cheryl Gallant, Scott Reid, Dean Allison, Gord Brown, Pierre Poilievre, Guy Lauzon and Jeff Watson...
