Got the last post for ya:

t r u t h o u t | One Mother's Stand
By William Rivers Pitt
Thursday 11 August 2005 10:35 PM
I am back in the hotel room, sunburned and ant-chomped and utterly thrilled. Being here these last two days was the rarest privilege. It was a Happening in the truest sense of the word, and it is growing. If you can get here, get here.

BUT: Understand that this thing could be killed by its own success in two ways. 1) It could get so large that the cops would be forced to shut it down. Remember, there is very little available space for people and cars. We were all in ditches. 2) A lot of people could show up and turn the thing into a multi-faced multi-subject disorganized mess, and that would be a disaster. If you go, focus on Cindy and the families of the fallen soldiers, and ending the war and calling George to account. Period.

I am off to Boston tomorrow morning but am going to try to get back soon. Meanwhile, t r u t h o u t Editor Scott Galindez is staying here with camera in hand, so the videos will continue on this page.

Cindy and the other families, and all the activists who were there, and everyone keeping this vigil, are patriots and the rarest of heroes. Don't let disgruntled outsiders or blathering right-wing pundits tell you any different. It was an honor to stand in that ditch, to watch these Americans demand accountability from the public servant over the hillside.

Thanks for reading, and keep an eye here for more videos over the next several days. This is William Rivers Pitt, signing off from Crawford, Texas.
Peace y'all.

Notice how, while the peons have to live outdoors, Pitt gets to stay in a luxury hotel room? And where is the money coming from that allows Pitt to live his luxurious life? Is he scamming the PDA donations so he can live high on the hog?

lest the many video cameras there fail to record him blowing bloated pronouncements into his own navel.

Hahahhaahah........ Now that's RICH!

Cindy and the other families, and all the activists who were there, and everyone keeping this vigil, are patriots and the rarest of heroes.

Pitt, you are by far the biggest POS, blow hard it has ever been my unfortunate experience to hear of. How dare you imply these welfare recipients have even the slightest amount of courage. It takes no bravery to lay around in a ditch by the side of a road and chastise your country. What it takes is gall. Without the bravery from true patriots you would all be in some sweat shop somewhere building tennis shoes, as you have no other skills.

Why don't these people get a friggin job? How is it they can drop everything and move from one protest to another, seemingly without a care in the world. Someone needs to do an expose on how these slackers are destroying their families by never accepting responsibility for their own expenses. We need to find out how much of this tripe is being funded by taxpayer handouts.

I sure would like to get a line on the local grocery store owner to see just how many of these "brave patriots" are using food stamps to bankroll their heroic ditch watch for Cindy! Let's find out how many of them are collecting unemployment benefits. I'm sure their respective states would be more than interested in their job search prospects in a ditch in Crawford TX.

Then again it is tornado season back there..........Maybe there needs to be a little divine intervention in the ditch in TX. Thunderstorms might be trying to tell these people something. The worst ones are at night, you can't see what direction to run.

Thanks, Ree, for the update. Can you also find the CU thread I wondered about?

If so, thanks!

I mean the CU photo of Pitt on the cover of a magazine. I saw it and LMBO.

This is Charles Michael Henrickson, signing off from St. Louis, Missouri--until the morning, when I can take a look at the rest of this DUzie of a DUFU.

... and demanding paper ballots, and universal health care, and gay marriage, and...

But most importantly -- focus.

I am back in the hotel room. . . .

Still All Quiet on the Best Western Front.

A lot of people could show up and turn the thing into a multi-faced multi-subject disorganized mess. . . .

Lousy facists.

Don't let disgruntled outsiders or blathering right-wing pundits tell you any different.

Listen to gruntled insider blathering left-wing pundidiots like me.

It was an honor to stand in that ditch. . . .

If a Pitt stands in a ditch, and there's no one around to take his picture, is he still a big hole?

{Wild, prolonged applause for our hero!}

It was an honor to stand in that ditch. . . .

Based on his bloggings, it looks like Pitt spent about eight hours on site Wednesday night, three hours Thursday morning, and eight hours Thursday afternoon and evening. That comes to grand total of about 19 hours at the scene for our grizzled veteran of the ditch. But what a grueling 19 hours those were! Heat, sun, fire ants, port-a-potty. . . . This embedded journalist spent as much time at the hotel as he did in the ditch. All Quiet on the Best Western Front, right, Will?
