Veterans For Peace, the rabid hate-America group who's impeachment tour Cindy Sheehan glommed on to, has decided to try to milk the Katrina disaster for their own nefarious ends.
First they claim they are "supporting the Rd Cross with power and medical supplies. (Sure they are.)
Then the VFP list what they need to continue their propaganda campaign. And mind you, nothing but the best will do. ($3K for a monitor?):

You see, the Red Cross doesn't have computers or multi-media equipment of their own. No way.
I wonder if the Red Cross knows that these parasites at Veterans For [a] Peace [of the action] are using their name and bogus support to leech more money, fancy equipment and services for their America-hating ends?
How low can you go?
FYI
This is despicable, to be trying to siphon off donations from the hurricane relief. Out of the limelight and less cash coming in, I guess, courtesy of Katrina.
$600 for a freaking iPod? Where are they getting them from, defense contractors?
That's crazy. They can use crappy $200 monitors and $100 MP3 players like the rest of us do. And go out and scrounge up some used Celerons or something--what, Windows is too good for 'em? Jeez. Leeches.
}:-)4
Let's see: $15k for fancy monitors, $2500 for hard drives, $22.5k for fancy video cameras, $2k for projectors, $3k for iPods.
Absolutely shameless shilling: Priceless.
This is OUTRAGEOUS! It's like stealing. Has Soros cut of the money?
Yea..sounds like their MSM money is gone and now they have to resort to this..
You mean like a spell checker?
What can you expect? If the "Impeach President Bush", anti-Iraq war crowd can use Free Republic to promote their cause they can use anyone.
"$600 for a freaking iPod? Where are they getting them from, defense contractors?"
And just why do they need a freaking iPod in the first place?
"Absolutely shameless shilling: Priceless."
What are they bringing to the table again? They don't have any volunteers, food, medical supplies, equipment...
Is it the glamor of their name that's going to help the cause?
I'm a little tapped right now, but I'll donate 2 tin cans and a lot of string if they'll come by and pick them up.
Ping to Cindy's new scam!!!
These are the same people who helped Cindy raise $600K for Fallujah.
But I bet the Red Cross--and none of the Katrina victims--ever see a dime from them.
But it's okay. They'll get some nice Mac gear out of it. And some more $$$$$$$$ for their real job--impeaching Bush and attacking America.
"We are supporting The Red Cross with power and medical supplies and kitchen service, food bank, and distribution and Internet communications and trained medical personnel."
Or rather, they might support the Red Cross with these things if somebody gives them power, medical supplies and kitchen service and food and pays their internet connection, and some doctors volunteer.
But at least maybe they'll score some iPods from this scam.
They mention "with recording" in the article...guess they use them as super-fancy tape recorders. But $600 each? They can hit Staples and get a little Dictaphone thingy for $50. Oh, but they can't listen to Green Day and Joan Baez on that, can they?
}:-)4
The Crawford Peace House raised over $150k last I heard (for similar stuff: computers, etc.), and now the "Veterans for Peace" want a piece of the gravytrain too, only now they are attempting to take funds away from the victims of the hurricane.
Just disgusting. Just had to vent some more. I think we all should notify the Red Cross, as others have mentioned. I'm sending off an email now.
Doesn't George Soros have enough money already?

We are trusted to present them in a respectfull light.

In order to insure our message get out the way we want it, we most maintain control of the message content as well as the context.
This page has nothing to do with Katrina victims relief. So it turns out VFP just wanted the equipment and were using their bogus claim of supporting the Red Cross to get it.
I could have sworn this was news. But it turns out it is just blogging.
Ah well, guess I go over and read about

I haven't flushed yet, if they're interested in making a collection.
"Liberalism: Where Shame is a Virtue"
And vice versa.
"Cindy Sheehan"?
Who is this knob and why is her mug still being posted?
There are far more important things going on than her and her ANTI-AMERICA rant.
Things like flossing.....rotating tires......going to the "Stop-N-Rob" to get more beer.....
Ms Sheehan is IRRELEVANT.
Is this for real, or some kind of satire? I'm not familiar with the source: Sweetness & Light. Not sure what to make of it...
It's for real. Click on the links. It's all from VFP's site.
Get back to me on September 24th.
"And go out and scrounge up some used Celerons or something--what, Windows is too good for 'em? Jeez. Leeches."
Don't forget, Linux is free... But hopefully, it won't work for these pinheads.
Osama bin Laden just signed their petition to impeach Dubya.

Thanks for that, CitizenM.
I'm sure they'd like to know they are being used this way.
bump
They forgot the new Mercedes bus.
Good to see they're Mac fans. All that stuff is at 3x the cost of PCs.

I believe that several telephone companies are offering FOR FREE phone banks and internet services at shelters. Looks to me like the moonbats just want the new equipment for their own propoganda machine. (ipods? $4500 video cameras? come on! This is not for Red Cross or evacuee use, I guarantee it.)
"Get back to me on September 24th."
??
Is this ANTI-AMERICA knob going to actually do something significant?
I'm not going to be holding my breath.
"Get back to me on September 24th."
You name the time and place.
I will be there.
LOL They want $$ to support the Red Cross??? OH please spare us the LIES. They need ipods for what??
You can buy the 20" monitors for much less than that from the Mac Warhouse. the 30" monitors are $3K
Hey it takes alot to be a traitor these days ! /sarc left on for effect
1) iMac with 20" monitor = $1,799.00/each (VFP Price= $3,000/each)
2) 500 GB Firewire HD = $399.00/each (VFP Price = $500/each)
3) Canon XL2 Digital Video Camera = $4,999.00/each (VFP Price = $4,500/each)
- This item is available for $4,199.00 at discount online retailers.
4) Projector 3000 lumens = (VFP Price = $1,000/each)
- No such item exists anywhere near that price point. 3000 lumen projectors start at over $2,000/each... Well over.
5) iPod 60GB w/Griffin iTalk recording = $440/each (VFP Price = $600/each)
Veterans For Peace is greatly exaggerating the prices of most of these items. Only real exception is the projector, but I think that is a case of wishful thinking, in the hope that they can bamboozle someone with a 3000 lumen projector to donate the equipment.
Un-F'n-Believable!
