After President Bush's speech an ABC new correspondant interviewed a few of those that are displaced by the hurricane.
It was a priceless moment. A middle age Black woman was asked if she was angry at President Bush because of the slow response of the federal goverment. She hit the nail on the head with her reply. She stated that she was not angry at Bush, but that she was angry at Nagin and Blaco for their lack of response. She also wanted to know why they didn't use the school buses to evacuate the city.
The correspondant then tried again with an older black women to see if he could get the "proper" response. No such luck, she stated that she beleives the President and had faith in his program.
Rush needs to see this to Follow up.
More than usual?
I saw it too. Would have hugged her but couldn't fit through the tv screen. :)
I could just give W a BIG WET sloppy kiss!
Was the correspondent some emasculated male (probably living in Chelsea and a grad of a "liberal arts" college in the Northeast)?
We will have to see if those on DU need to have a suiside watch.
I would have given ANYTHING if that had been Katie and Matt interviewing those fine ladies.
Look for long lines at Walgreens long into the night...
Sucks when the facts get in the way of a good story.
How long she been a Freeper?
This post made my day.
Black people are not supposed to be allowed to think for themsevves...
</sarcasm*>
LOL I saw it too.
I was yelling that she had nailed it, and I was praising God. This makes me so happy, that no matter how hard the MSM tries to make Bush look bad, the people of the US aren't buying it.
My answer: No. This speech is evidence that the President DOES care. And always has.
The reporter was Dean Reynolds. The line of questioning was very pointed. "Do you harbor any resentment for the president for the slow evacuation? Do you think the President is sincere? Is it a little too late?" Blah, blah, blah...
"She hit the nail on the head with her reply. She stated that she was not angry at Bush, but that she was angry at Nagin and Blaco for their lack of response."
For the second time this week I say in utter amazement Holy CR*P!

I love it!!!!
Hmmm I don't think that Laura would aprove. LOL
The truth shall be known and the truth shall set even the liberal media propagandist complex free. Tell the truth and shame the devil!
But then the most amazing thing happened: All of those souls told it like it was!
They, who saw it up close and personal, told the truth. One lady said she didn't believe the hurricane was going to be that bad TOOK RESPONSIBILITY for her own foolishness. Another laid the blame on the state and local authorities not once, BUT TWICE in the same interview!
Rush, if you don't open up with this audio on Friday's show, I'll be shocked.
See sig.
I think he asked another black woman who she blamed. She said new orleans wasn't affected much by the hurricane, it was devastated when floodgates were opened. She then said the city was suppose to use money to fix the levee's and they didn't do it. She blamed the mayor.
I wonder if he bothered to check to see what kind of response that he was going to get from these individuals. Me thinks that either he didn't bother or they responded the "proper" way prior to going on the air. I would have loved it if they conned him, knowing that he wouldn't have put them on the air if he had known what they were really going to say.
Dean Reynolds.
It was absolutely beautiful. The ABC reporter kept trying to get them to say something bad about the president and every single one of them praised Bush! ABC thought they had the perfect set up...poor, black, displaced refugees of the hurricane who would lambaste the president...and it backfired! These people were great and full of common sense.
Have had the Weather Channel on since getting home a little while ago hoping to hear news of how southeastern NC fared in the hurricane but everyone is reporting from farther up the coast. However, I just hear a report that tickled me greatly.
..... A reporter from ABC news was being interviewed (I guess from a local station and not the network but I don't know for sure ... since I never watch that network I wouldn't recognize their reporters). He was standing in front of a badly-damaged building at Atlantic Beach and said that the citizens weren't waiting on federal help but had started today to repair the damage to their property on their own. *ZING*
..... Then he said that he was amazed to see that people in the area (which apparently suffered the most from Ophelia) were still taking up collections today for the victims of Katrina in spite of their own losses. *ZING* *ZING*
Made me right proud of my state!!!
DAMN I missed it! Anyone have the capability to post mpeg or something from webcast or something? You know THAT'LL never be seen again.
I loved this! I was so proud to hear those folks talk and elude that garbage the correspondent was trying to shove down their throats!
I am sure both Hannity and Rush will play excerpts of this. It was wonderful. I wish we could find a transcript.
How come this was moved to personal and bloggers? This is a discussion of the follow-up of the President's speech.
I'll transcript it myself if I can get a chance to see or even record it!
I would love to have a copy of that transcript. Perhaps the only one I would like to have from ABC News.
GOODNIGHT AND GOODBYE TO NBC, A NETWORK THAT HAS FALLEN INTO THE ABYSS OF INCREDULITY. (GOOD RIDDANCE)
The leftists are going to hate it when the displaced Louisanna folks return to the voting booths and vote republican.
Doesn't matter where they are, but I think a lot of black folk are going to remember how the dems failed, yet again, and how the besmirched republicans and christians came to their aide.
Maybe that is why Nagin has bought a home in Dallas. Big enough city to hide in.
She stated that she was not angry at Bush, but that she was angry at Nagin and Blaco for their lack of response. She also wanted to know why they didn't use the school buses to evacuate the city.
READ this & smile........PING
The RATS will be using the opportunity to "Foam at the Mouth" (and with the help of it's ally, the MSM, and say that we know need to choose between rebuilding Iraq OR rebuilding New Orleans. Can't afford both.
This may prove to be a brilliant exit strategy.
No s**t..really?
One of the more liberal black leaders (can't remember his name) was stating that Bush blew up the levees. Hmmm I wonder if they believe him.
A few days ago Jesse Jackson stated that it wouldn't be good to move these people too far away from where they are acultured. My response was that he is afearing that he is going to lose "control" of them. Well I guess it is too late, they aren't buying what the "black leaders" are selling any more.
It was a beautiful sight.
I was cheering and yelling so loud that my teenage wondered what was going on.
Since when has the Dems ever turned down an opportunity to spend money.
If they pull that we will turn the tables on them and ask them which minority group they want to pull the plug on?
