NIGERGATE: WHY THE FRENCH ARE STILL LAUGHING AT THE U.S.A. (Part I)

The inside story of how President George Bush’s administration is facing a dire crisis thanks to a set-up orchestrated by French spies, US journalists and a man with a white moustache.

Part 1 of 2

Introduction:

The Bush administration is in a crisis. The Fitzgerald investigation is the numer one story throughout the United States and confidence in the President is falling. Fitzgerald’s conclusions damage the White House, and thus the American public, is going to suffer. This posting examines an important aspect of why all of this is happening and unveils some of the authors behind what will one day be considered the most efficient conspiracy and disinformation campaign of all time.

The Nigergate affair is a sham, the responsability part American and part European. To understand in depth how it all happened somebody with inside knowledge may one day write a book. Until then this posting and the others posted by the author on Free Republic during August and September 2004 are all that is required.

Drinks all round at D.G.S.E.

October 28, 2005. On the eve of the weekend break the weather in central France is perfect, a little rain is expected on Saturday but that will clear away and Sunday will see the sun out once again. That would seem to be good enough news in itself but in Paris the spooks are having a field day: never in the wildest dreams of the French Secret Services strategists did anyone ever think that so far down the road the American public would still be fooled by one of history’s most brilliant disinformation campaigns. At this rate, if things don’t change, how many bottles of Beaujolais Nuovo are going to be opened down at the Paris headquarters of the D.G.S.E. to toast the ongoing success of Nigergate? All of this, of course, at the expense of the American, British and Italian public.

None of the succes would have been possibile without the complicity of AMERICAN REPORTERS. Make no mistakes and let no one tell you differently: the cancer lies deeply within a part of the American media.

But the cancer has spead. The cancer has crossed the Atlantic. Only yesterday, October 27, one of the ringleaders of the campaign to make a fool out of the American public, the American government and anyone else who stands in their way made a very interesting statement. An error on their part but even the best can’t stand or resist the pace forever. Interviewed by Amy Goodman of “Democracy Now” (www.democracynow.org) one of the conspiracy’s principal actors, Laura Rozen (www.warandpiece.com), came out with a very revealing phrase “On the Italian side, my colleagues at La Repubblica tell me”. Voilà, as the spooks in Paris would say, here we are: the Italian connection. Congratulations and well done, we now have Italian investigative reporters linked into France’s (not so) little game. As in any crime the criminal always makes at least one fatal mistake. We really need to thank Laura for this little slip, we suspected it all along but she confirmed it outright. So thank you Laura but the games up. And, by the way, the same holds true for all of the other members of the Nigergate cabal. Indeed many, including Joshua Mica Marshal Micah Marshall over at “Talking Points Memo” (www.talkingpointsmemo.com), really should take note.

Confused? Lets not just try to put things into context, lets put things into context. For anyone who is new to the Nigergate affair “Free Republic” posted a series of pieces back in August and September of 2004. To understand the truth behind the Nigergate documents and the various actors it’s worth reading them again. For those who haven’t read them do a search inside Free Republic for “Posts by parnasokan”, read them it’s worth it.

So here we are once again discussing conspiracy theories. Is it ever possibile that the same old pattern of lies and untruths persist? The bad news is yes, they persist. As the posts indicated above PROVE the Nigergate documents were revealed for what they really were more than a year ago, more than 12 months ago, more than 365 days ago!! Certainly it’ all perfectly true, there is a conspiracy, there is a European secret services plot, there is a well tuned, well oiled and well financed and highly successful conspiracy plot.

The only little problem is that IT’S FRENCH.

This is going to be a long one, it’s a complicated issue so, as I’ve done in the past, I’m going to divide this posting into seperate parts. Two should suffice. Print them out and read them at your leisure, it’s worth the trouble. I can both promise and garantee this much. First of all I’m going to take a look at whats been happening in Italy over the last few days and in the second part take a look at some of the reactions.

Lets get a home angle on this. The New York Times published an interesting article today (http://www.nytimes.com/2005/10/28/politics/28niger.html) in which an unamed counterespionage official is quoted as stating that the F.B.I. inquiry into the origins of the forged Niger documents “had yielded some intriguing but unproved theories”. While the first of these, involving Ahmad Chalabi, would seem somewhat unlikely to say the very least the second, which according to the Times was “described by some officials as more likely”, seems to come very close to the truth. What is intersting is that according to the counterespionage official the “matter was being investigated as a counterintelligence case, not a criminal one”. What does this mean? It’s very simple, the F.B.I. is looking into the matter from a “spygame” angle and not simply as the result of a fraudsters actions. Put quite bluntly: there is more to Nigergate than Rocco Martino. So Voilà, a glass of Beaujolais Nuovo anyone? I don’t think so.

Lets get an even clearer home angle on the Nigergate affair: State of the Union address, war on Iraq, Ex Ambassador Wilson, Valeria Plame, Vice President Cheny, Judith Miller, Senate Enquiry, F.B.I. investigation, the Fitzgerald inquiry. Do I need to go on. It’s immediately aparent that the fall-out from the devious manipulation of a handfull of forged documents has hit the very heart of America’s political system, a shot right to the heart of the American Presidents very own office. Not really something to be taken lightly.

Glasses crash to the floor

This past week has seen a lot of Italians drop their glasses of Brunello di Montalcino, they lost any taste that they might have had for Beaujolais Nuovo last year. I’m reliably informed that broken glass is still being swept up from both palace and appartment floors. So what happened to shock the normally unshockable Italians? Enter stage left “Chip and Chop”, the cream of Italian investigative journalism. Just who are “Chip and Chop”? The diabolical duo, named after the Italian version of the Chipmunks cartoons, are none other than, wait for it ...., Laura Rozens “colleagues at La Repubblica”. Her words not mine.

Unable to join the fray back in the fall of 2004 the Laurel and Hardy of Italian investigative journalism bided their time until last Monday. On October 24 somebody in a position of power inside Italy’s second largest newspaper, La Repubblica, decided to “cry havoc and let slip the chipmunks of war”. And war it is. But that’s another story and, albeit the eve of the electoral campaign, Italian internal politics don’t interest us, at least not for the moment.

Back to the story. “Chip and Chop” prepare a long and detailed report which La Repubblica publishes over a three day period, Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. A detailed report, a well layed out and well presented report. Problem. One little problem, the entire, to borrow once again from the French lest we forget their role, “tour de force” holds less water than Sonny Corleone’s car after the incident at the tollbooth. The entire three part “investagitative report” has been translated into English and can be found at the following links:

1) http://nuralcubicle.blogspot.com/2005/10/berlusconi-behind-fake-yellowcake.html 2) http://nuralcubicle.blogspot.com/2005/10/yellowcake-dossier-not-work-of-cia.html 3) http://nuralcubicle.blogspot.com/2005/10/nigergate-great-nuclear-centrifuge.html

Many thanks to the translator, whoever Nur-al-Cubicle may be and although they would seem to be part of the cabal. An excellent job and one immediately followed up by a profile of our comical chipmunk journalist friends Chip and Chop. Nur-al-Cubicle in an effort to give some form of credibility to the Laurel and Hardy of journalism offers an interesting profile which can be consulted at http://nuralcubicle.blogspot.com. Before declearing that “The prizewinning pair are investigative journalists on the "Big Crime" beat, covering spectacular Mafia murders, judicial corruption, official blackmail and, well, apparently illegal war, too.”, Nur-al-Cubicle suggests that “We should probably find out who these guys are.” Voilà, Voilà, Voilà, Voilà, at long last a good idea. A good idea indeed but for the moment let it suffice to point out that Chip, aka Carlo Bonini, is the author of a book entitled “Guantanamo. Usa, a Journey to the War on Terror Prison” while Chop, aka Giuseppe D'Avanzo wrote “The Days of the Gladio Conspiracy”. So for the record let’s just point out that this points towards the diabolical duo being experienced U.S. and Secret Intelligence Service bashers. At this point any comment is superfluous.

To follow

In the second part of this posting I’m going to take a look at what the Italian reaction to the dialbolical duo’s hatchet job has been. Anyone who has not read what I posted last year really should do so.

Whoever it was, in the long run they have helped the MSM expose their agenda and bias to more and more American's.

I wonder if they'll come to regret their actions in the not too distant future.
