American Hiroshima

“First call, first call to Colors.”

Lieutenant Commander Thomas Carter stood at attention on the flight deck of USS RONALD REAGAN. He waited in silent anticipation for the first strains of the “Star Spangled Banner,” the signal for the petty officers of the watch to begin raising the extra large flag, only displayed on Sundays and holidays.

Tom loved weekend duty—a heart-pumping bike ride up the Strand, bounding up to the Quarterdeck (“Good morning, Sir!), shower, uniform, coffee, Quarters and then observing Colors—that bright, broad and magnificent flag rising over the blue-green water of San Diego Bay under the sleek arch of the Coronado Bridge.

A spark of light caught his eye, low, just outside the oil containment boom between the REAGAN and the aircraft carrier NIMITZ. It’s a little early for pleasure craft to be sightseeing, he thought, but not so unusual, I guess, with three carriers at North Island—quite a sight since USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN pulled in yesterday for a short visit.

Tom saw a large, bearded man dressed in white stand up in the boat. He appeared to be shaking his fist—shouting something—jumping up and down . . . and then a BLINDING FLASH . . .

And where would the President order our hydrogen bombs to be dropped, after a "no return address" atom bomb attack inside of the USA? Please name the specific targets.

Exactly. Just hide the uranium in a load of coke.

If the Iranian lunatics pass "real" uranium to terrorists, the rest is not rocket science. The bomb itself can be prepared in the target country. Remember, the avowed goal of the current Iranian leadership is to sow maximum chaos and panic through the world, because Allah will intercede to make the world Islamic. I am not joking, do a little reading and you will find out this is 100% true. He's not joking either when he says he plans to "wipe Israel off the map." He's serious, dead serious, as serious as Hitler was in Mein Kampf.

Indeed, but that's not what I was talking about.

If the perps are buying complete weapons from "Russians",
they are easy to spoof.

Iran is a problem no matter what their plans for any
bombs they make.

You have a point. The NSA is probably monitoring the 'usual suspects', message traffic might yield targets, but even then, this would not be undertaken lightly.

Nuke Islam and the 'downwinders' might have their own say about it. The feces could really load up the rotary air shifter then.

No doubt there is a war plan for this somewhere, but with Global economic implications and oil producing regions involved, I doubt it includes the wholesale nuking of Southern Asia and the Middle East.

Whether or not that means they have ways of tracking the emissions from these types of weapons, I don't know. But he was adamant in his reply of don't worry.

Yes.

Got be a very nice area, Travis. I spent quite a bit of time around there when my company was looking at some aerospace & defense acquisitions. We were looking at GD Space Systems Division and a few others around there. Usually stayed at the Hyatt Islandia, a very accomodating hotel with bay/ocean view rooms.

  1. Mecca.
  2. Medina.
  3. Damascus.
  4. Tehran.
  5. Najaf.
  6. Karbala.
  7. Qom.
  8. Aleppo.
  9. Lattakia.
  10. Homs.
  11. Hama.
  12. Deir Ez-Zor.
  13. Esfahan.
  14. Shiraz.
  15. Tabriz.
  16. Mashhad.
  17. Kermanshah.
  18. Kerman.
  19. Rasht.

That's a good start, I imagine. Islam would be rocked on it's heels.

Maybe not, but that just speaks to the fact that we simply will not confront our mortal enemy in these PC times.

If Hitler had only thought to call Nazism a religion, he'd have ruled the world.
