In just the few minutes between when I got the phone call from Pitt and when I talked to Ty again, he said he saw what was written and agreed with it. But since this at a bar, how?

I am guessing that Pitt lives VERY close to the bar. Maybe right above it. I am also guessing that Pitt has a Google Alert set up to send him an email every time a Piece with his name is posted on the net. Therefore he is always reading FR.

Different brewers make IPAs so the numerous names isn't unusual.

The creation of India Pale Ale (IPA) during the early 1700's was the result of tremendous efforts by British brewers to overcome a difficult problem: during the 1700's beer did not keep well on long ocean voyages, especially into hot climates. These hot environments resulted in the arrival of flat, sour beer.
