In just the few minutes between when I got the phone call from Pitt and when I talked to Ty again, he said he saw what was written and agreed with it. But since this at a bar, how?

I am guessing that Pitt lives VERY close to the bar. Maybe right above it. I am also guessing that Pitt has a Google Alert set up to send him an email every time a Piece with his name is posted on the net. Therefore he is always reading FR.

BOUNCER FROM NEW ORLEANS
Tune: "City of New Orleans"

Writing 'bout a bouncer from New Orleans,
Plenty of Pitt--ain't no one I love more!
Pass the made-up facts in with the twaddle,
Full of Will's rambling speech galore.
Mid the grunts of barroom bouncers
And the sounds from here in Cheers,
Still my brilliance echoes through the rooms!
DUmmies with their minds asleep
Are buying all the crap I sweep--
This yarn's got the scent of certain barnyard fumes!

Good making DUmmieland my barroom!
Don't you know me, I'm so full of it!
I'm the guy who uses bouncers from New Orleans,
I'll be gone five hundred lines 'cause I'm Willie Pitt!

IPA = India Pale Ale (yum!)

Different brewers make IPAs so the numerous names isn't unusual.

from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/India_pale_ale

India Pale Ale (IPA, also known as Strong Pale Ale or Imperial Pale Ale), is a distinct style of beer and is characterized as a sparkling pale ale with a high level of alcohol (5.5% to 6.3% by volume) and hops, thus having an increased bitterness (typically 35-48 on the IBU scale). The creation of India Pale Ale (IPA) during the early 1700's was the result of tremendous efforts by British brewers to overcome a difficult problem: during the 1700's beer did not keep well on long ocean voyages, especially into hot climates. These hot environments resulted in the arrival of flat, sour beer.
