I have a McBros, A M82A1 and a old Daisy AMAC and Uncle Sugars bed wetters ain't getting any of em back in the manner they think they will.........A 20MM necked down to .338 ?!?!?!??..........I WANT one !
As my 50th birthday approached, I decided a .50 rifle would be a suitable present to myself for reaching that milestone, which had been kind of iffy at a couple of times along the way. After considerable shopping and tire-kicking, I went with a rebarrelled WWII Boys AT rifle reworked for the .50 BMG. I learned a few things fromthat old poodle-shooter.
I've also played with the Arkansas AMAC's, but it's the .50x77 M8C spotter rifle cartridge that most intrigues me, at least in terms of cartridge development.

Eek! No, I meant a 20x139mm case necked down to .50, somewhat resembling a REALLY overgrown 7,62 NATO blank cartridge, the idea being that L39 Lahti users could file-and-trim to 20x139 dimensions, and the .50 shooters after higher velocities could watch their rifling fly out the muzzle with each shot. But a saboted .338 might be do-able, though I've yet to work up a drawing of the 8.60x139mm Squantos....
