Rupert Murdoch is not a conservative, nor are his media holdings (at least those I am familiar with) "conservative" in any sense of the word. Fox News may seem conservative in comparison to the major networks, but that's only in a relative sense. And the NY Post is a big-government rag whose advertisements (particularly in the sports section) look like they belong in Hustler magazine.

Every day a larger proportion of commercials aired on my G rated satellite channels during prime time are unfit for child consumption. Soft porn seems to be spreading like wildfire.

My mom cut off Newsday and took the Post for years. She liked the op-ed pages, but in the past year or so they got too raunchy for her. It's really, really bad now.

She dropped the NY post this year and bought a computer. I put FR on as her start page. :)
