On a serious note, that comment about, "..all you need to be a leader is a shirt." is what my neighbor down the street used to get me involved as my oldest went into Tiger Cubs. Spent 13 years as an adult scouter thereafter and develped some of my finest memories of time with my sons. I served as a Den Leader for Bears, Assistant Cubmaster, Webelos Leader, Scout Committee Member and Citizenship Merit Badge Counselor and High Adventure Leader for two seperate trips to the Boundry Waters.

My oldest went on to very high responsibility within the District as a youth leader and was involved in making a National Scouting Video on leadership for Scouts and Scouters. Besides appearing in that video, he does a voice-over to one of the segments where he talks about my involvement extemporanously. When I first saw the video and heard his comments about "his dad", he was about twenty, I almost came to tears and I thanked God for the efforts I had been allowed to extend to he and his friends.

So I will tell you truely: Buy that shirt.
