This is my take: Frist's bill was focused on border security and did not touch the issue of guest workers, legalization, etc. He knew what would fly with the House. In the end, the bill will focus on security and defer any decisions on guest workers, etc. for another day.
Thanks guys. I think we're all on the same page, I just wanted to make sure people didn't misunderstand. We don't oppose raising LEGAL immigration numbers. We just want to keep immigration and security the two separate topics they are.
