On May 5th, 1810, Mexico declared itself independent from the Spanish empire. Spain quickly retaliated, by sinking the Mayo, Mexico's only ship. This day is commemorated as "sink o' de Mayo" day.

Comrade Michelle!
I know it's so hard so sit back and relax and ponder on the accomplishments (at screwing up the world) of Marx, Engels, Trotsky, Stalin Mao, Ho (I know her) & Fidel. Just try to chill and maybe take a little walk to your nearest illegal immigrant rally, waive your little Mexican flag and shout Viva La Patria (we know it's not the patria that they all want to live in) or Abajo con los Gringos or Bush (one and the same to them)---or if you're really not up to such venom--just shout Yo Quiero TACO BELL---hopefully your little chihuahua is smarter and cuter than that thing Paris Hilton carries around with her---or at least smarter than Paris Hilton. (and Sarandon And Clooney)

"Why are gutless politicians in Washington, in both parties, so afraid to stand up for America?"
It is called pandering.
Vote buying, via entitlements, with your tax dollars!
Close the borders and put a choke hold on the money flow to Washington!

This excerpt from an interview at the 'Day of the Illegals' march shows what patsy's our politicians are for allowing the demonstrations by illegals to influence their policy decisions...
"Jose Cruz, 23, from El Salvador, said he took off the day from his construction job to attend the rally. "If I lose my job, it's worth it," said Cruz, who has a temporary work permit that is granted to many Central Americans. "It's worth losing several jobs to get my papers."
