A bit more of of a reach: Turkey. Troy, the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire, and the Ottoman Empire. It certainly ranks with France and Germany, at least.

Greece c. 2000 or c. 1600 or c. 600 is likewise <> Greece c. 800 BC.
They are not the same "countries".
This is like saying the US includes the 6 Nations and is represented in AD 500 by the 6 nations.
