who did we miss? Israel. Birthplace of Judaism and Christianity.
A bit more of of a reach: Turkey. Troy, the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire, and the Ottoman Empire. It certainly ranks with France and Germany, at least.

This is like saying the US includes the 6 Nations and is represented in AD 500 by the 6 nations.
