Influential website the Huffington Post tried to ban one of its bloggers after he discovered an anonymous heckler on his blog was actually the Post's technology manager.
In his Huffington Post blog, Peter Rost exposed the identity of the heckler - known as a "troll" in blogging parlance - which prompted the Post to temporarily block his access.

Oh common, its a common tactic: pose as a troll to stir things up and make the other side look like loud, obnoxious idiots.
Troll???? I thought everyone that posts at Huffington's site was a troll?
umm...yes of course, but it's not quite so common for a senior staff member of the actual site to be exposed as being the troll...that's the entire point of the article.
It would be somewhat similar for Jim Robinson or another Free Republic Overseer to be exposed as a troll here at FR.
Perhaps, but not many would have expected a troll to be exposed as a senior staff member there at the Huffington Post, which is what makes this story noteworthy.
I never thought I'd be reading the Opus of a leftist American blogger in the online version of a British leftist newspaper.
It is the Huffington Post so it is not surprising that they would act in a less than ethical way. They have a history. They faked a blog by George Clooney by stringing together some comments he had made at different times.
It's so nice that there are dedicated newshounds such as the crack team at Orbusmax to sift through the trash at leftist sites like the Guardian in order to uncover the occasional gem :-)
Yes indeed, and that's mentioned in this article as well. It is quite telling that the staff at the PuffingtonHost apparently hasn't learned from their many mistakes.
Why would Dr. Rost go back to blogging at Huffington Post after realizing that nobody on the editorial staff was going to back him. They all came to the defense of the troll!!
I didn't hear about the Clooney blog incident before this article either. These left wing blogs are nothing but a sham!
I suppose that this is inevitable when one's entire ideology and worldview is based upon lies and failed ideas....how can anything of substance be constructed from building blocks such as those?
When engineers want to build a bridge, they typically don't opt for rotten and termite-infested wood, but the Left doesn't have anything else available for them to work with.
