Let's Give the Liberals Their Daily Affirmation

A few years ago, I was watching TV with an ex-girlfriend. It was an entertainment show that was doing an interview with actress Kate Hudson. She described her experience traveling abroad to Paris, France and being embarrassed by her fellow countrymen:
"We're the most annoying, boisterous creatures in the world. I mean we come in and we eat mounds of food, and we're like, 'Where's the kaachup [sic] for our French fries?' I'm like, 'Shut up!' Sometimes I'll be walking down the street and I'll hear some American and I'll just go, 'Of course they hate us, of course they can't stand us.' "
This profound quote from one of America's most enlightened is exactly what I've come to realize is our nation's greatest problem.
For most of my conservative consciousness, I've been perplexed by the behaviors and attitudes of liberal America. Ironic considering that I was once left of center. I certainly understood my own motivations - uneducated as they were. Eventually, reality, experience, and edification set in. Admittedly, I remain baffled by those my age and older who still hold on to ill-fated philosophies in the face of all the historical evidence at our fingertips. But more than that, what is with the self-hating America-bashing that is so popular with a large segment of the country? Then it hit me: low self-esteem.

I've been to Europe. What Kate says is a self-serving nonsense.

They hate themselves because they have no moral compass and they know it.
In order to look at themselves in the mirror every day, they must bring others down to their level.
They rationalize their existence by denegrating their country: "See...America is bad so I must not be so bad myself"

It is more than low self-esteem. The lefties in Hollywood are guilty because most of them have made fortunes with little or no talent. They have no discernible difference than any other "normal" person so why should they have money, fame, and power.
That is their rational at least.
Remember DIMS don't believe in personal responsibility so they attribute their success to someone or something instead of taking credit for decisions they have made in the past to get them where they are.

What Kate says is a self-serving nonsense. and I'm like she doesn't even say her nonsense very well.

Condescending liberals in a constant state of embarrassment for their own country and supine worship of "sophisticated" foreigners are the broad side of the barn, target-wise. They're the gift that keeps on giving.

Kate Hudson? She has the IQ of a spoonful of liquid soap.
Once again, another superb example of "I'm smart because I'm famous." My word.

Well, let's see. On my only trip throughout Europe, I was:
1) Grabbed and choked by a drunken German Octoberfest attendee in Munchen who then collapsed in a drunken stupor to be carted off in a wheelbarrow-type of apparatus with a green cross painted on the side;
2) Cheated by the shopkeepers and cab drivers in Munich as to prices and fares;
3) On a walk after a large dinner in the international section of Geneve in full formal attire, I was grabbed by two middle-eastern men and dragged toward a blue Renault, only to be protected by my two elderly aunts who were holding on to my other arm to keep me from being dragged off to who knows what and saved by the timely turning of the corner by another vehicle;
and that was in a two week period. I'd say that Europe doesn't exactly rank as tops on my list as mannered and gentile.
Here and there, I encountered lovely, kind and well-intentioned people, but there is no moral high ground by and large. We have lovely, kind, well-intentioned and mannerly people here and there in America. I totally discount the European take on Ugly Americans.
I can assure you I used my very best efforts to extend Christian kindness and every nuance I learned in Finishing School, as well as speak the native language in every country I visited, so I certainly was not open to criticism through my lack of schooling and values.
