I was waiting for this to happen as I watched the gas prices fall in the last week.
Leave it to the conspiracy doods to think that the entire world maket price of crude is controlled by the Bu$Hitler White House/Big Oil cabal.
Apparently the DUmmies think that the Bu$Hitler White House/Big Oil cabal has control over the consumption in the rest of the world and the production by OPEC and the other net exporters of crude.

Remember, 60% of us aren't nearly as dumb as we look. Given the liberals I've seen, they could only be half as dumb as they look and still be pretty damn stupid.

Have you ever read 1984?
DUmmie conversation: "Movie, movie, movie." "Novel, novel, novel." "Fantasy, fantasy, fantasy." "Fiction, fiction, fiction."
To: PJ-Comix
Most Dems on this board have the insight to realize this...
This coming from the same people who want to march down the strreet with "V for Vendetta" masks. LOL.
To: PJ-Comix
Have you ever read 1984? And how Oceana cut chocolate rations, and then raised them again, but not as high as they were before the cut? Oil prices are like the chocolate rations. People, from an emotional perspective, will be willing to embrace Bush again if oil prices fall to their 2004-early 2005 levels, even if back then they were complaining about those prices to begin with. Why is this? Because people's expectations are so diminished and they don't believe that they will see $1.70 again, so $2.20 will be good enough for them as a result.
I find this to be an interesting case study. This Dummie sees 1984 as a parallel to our capitalist system, and not the actual Soviet system it was describing. He/she/it apparently believes that prices can be set in an arbitrary manner, and are not subject to the market. They don't get the market in any way, and they never have. They project their own vision onto reality. I BELIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVE that evil oil men keep gas prices high!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How often can he stick a cattle prod up our asses, shock us, and then turn down the power...How often are you going to bend over?
To: PJ-Comix
Let us not forget we're only one hurricane away from it being over $3 a gallon again, so let's not bet the November elections on cheap gas. And Rush's suggestion that it might approach $2 a gallon come November is wildly optimistic.
To: PJ-Comix
"Adjusted for inflation, our current oil price high still isn't even enough to top the 1980 high. I think that voters, unfortunately, will settle for gas around $2.20."
This one almost sounded sane until his comment on what a voter will 'settle for'. Whatever that means.

The DUmmies claim to have "insight" or "perspective" concerning oil prices that the "sheeple" are too DUmb to understand. The phrase Put your money where your mouth is says it all.
They're looking backwards and twisting their beliefs to match the current conditions. No principle at all. If they were so brilliant to know what's going on then they could use the options or futures markets to make more money than Soros.
If prices had skyrocketed because of Ernesto hitting the Gulf then it still would have been "Bush's Fault".
I enjoy calling a dimm on their predictions. I'll ask do you really believe what you've just said? When they reply yes I tell them how they can become extremely wealthy by acting on their firm conviction but will lose most if not all if they are wrong. Quiets them down somewhat.
