The emails were not the problem, the Instant Messages were the problem. Republican leadership knew about the emails but not the Instant Messages.

The MSM mixes these to confuse the issue. We here at Free Republic need to be clear.

Exactly and I wish folks would remember that distinction and KEEP it clear.

Unless the GOP leadership knew about the INSTANT MESSAGES and DID NOTHING ABOUT IT, then let's not throw them under the bus!

I think the confusion lies with the possibility that few have seen the actual IM texts and are still under the impression that the emails are the whole story.
