Maybe the GOP leadership can hear us now. They kept turning a deaf ear.

They have a wake up call. Let's see if the GOP can turn things around. They have 2 years. Otherwise, Dems will also get the White House, and the GOP leadership will be to blame.

She hasn't been elected yet. Didn't Jackoff Murtha say he wanted the position? Let's hope that we see a fractured Democratic cockass.

Goes well with the Nancy-boy conservative voters who elected her and the NYT bathhouse boys.

Well they don't call us the stupid party for nothing.

Pelosi is nowhere near the politician that Newt Gingrich is and Klintoon was able to outmaneuver Newt in 1995. She is in for a really rude awakening. The 'Rats can gloat all they want, but they don't even come close to veto-proof numbers on anything, the best they can hope for is to screw up judicial nominees.

.....She is in for a really rude awakening.....

She is going to have a miserable time. She will be able to do nothing that is not the will of W.

The reports say there are new conservative Democrats. It will be interesting to see if they all submit to her bit and lash.

The economy is on fire right now and whether people are willing to publicly admit it or not, they know that Bush's tax cuts had a lot to do with it. If Pelosi starts talking tax increases, you will see a lot of the less leftist 'Rats start running for cover.

No...
You won't...

If this election should have taught us ANYTHING, it's that we will get NO good press if we don't buy it...

Do you honestly think that some of the 'Rats who ran as moderates in the South and Mid-West are going to vote for tax increases? Especially when they realize that Bush will simply veto them and then they have to run again in two years.

If the Stevens SCOTUS rumors are true... they'll get their wish.

The Stevens rumors have been floated for years. Bush was ALWAYS going to have a tough time with a replacement for Stevens. One or two senators won't change that.

I remember most of the ubiquitous Stevens (& Ginsberg) rumors, but not where they came from (typical)... you?

This latest one I read on Human Events online:
The Rumor About John Paul Stevens

Excerpt: For the past several weeks, there has been a rumor circulating among high-level officials in Washington, D.C., that a member of the U.S. Supreme Court has received grave medical news and will announce his or her retirement by year’s end. While such rumors are not unusual in the nation’s capital, this one comes from credible sources. Additionally, a less credible but still noteworthy post last week at the liberal Democratic Underground blog says, “Send your good vibes to Justice Stevens. I just got off the phone with a friend of his family and right now he is very ill and at 86 years old that is not good.”

I just don't see this nomination being all that different from Stevens and Alito. The 'Rats will not be able to filibuster a SCOTUS nomination the way they do the others, it's too public. They would have to "Bork" the nominee and that's not as easy as they think (remember we got Thomas through with a 'Rat majority).
