I got a phone call tonight from the RNC asking for money. The caller heard essentially the same but much shorter.

[stop supporting rinos and start acting like conservatives and I might kick in some money goodby]

I wholeheartedly agree with the bulk of Big Dog's message, especially where real conservatives are needed instead of moderates and RINOs. However, I disagree that the election was lost solely on this point.

Other solid factors included:

• An uncontrolled growing number of socialist-leaning voters churned out by our educational institutions.
• Poor utilization of media by conservatives. The left has long mastered the media. Conservatives fall way short of using it to an effective advantage, especially failing to reach the mass of voters under 25 who vote for whoever their favorite celebrity or DJ tells them to.
• The myth that Hispanics usually vote for conservatives. Many do not. Most Hispanics that I know left their conservative ways on the south side of the border. Most believe in unions and the unions will tell them how to vote.
• Failure on the part of conservatives to repeatedly drive home the point that socialist ideals are destructive. NEVER vote for a leftist candidate.

Until we can turn the tables on these points, the battle will be long and hard if not fruitless.
