RETIRED FORD EXECUTIVE SPEAKS OUT ON GOD'S 10 COMMANDMENTS
THE AMERICAN CONSERVATIVE WORKER ^ | 12-01-2006 | Michael Westfall

Posted on 12/03/2006 12:05:52 PM PST by carolgr

For several years I worked directly with the chairman and president on management culture change with Employee Involvement process. The Ten Commandments were of immense importance to our forefathers when forming of our Nation. They viewed them as commands for personal living and the formation of a government. Unfortunately over the years, due to attacks by organizations like the ACLU and opposition from a liberal judicial system they have become a non-factor and we are paying the price with declining morality and decency in our nation. There is a common thought that the Old Testament does not apply today. Jesus rebuked that thought by quoting from it many times. All of God's word is applicable today. I recently attended an Imax theatre presentation on ancient Greece. At one time it was one of the most powerful and beautiful societies on earth. Now it is rubble and some building foundations. As I watched I was struck by the thought that the United States of America would look like that in the not too distant future if our society continues to decline. Without the Bible our next generation is lost. The church must be the catalyst for renewed respect and use of the Bible. Unfortunately, many fundamental churches are moving away from the Bible itself and using “so and so's” book or “so and so's” series of Bible guides for their guides. Too many Christians go to every Bible study within a three county radius and then don't do anything to be good testimonies in their lives. Our nation is still powerful and great today because our founding fathers 230 years ago formed our government on the principles of the Bible and in particular the Ten Commandments. To keep our Nation great we must renew our emphasis on them.

America is obsessed with the concept of "My Rights". The concept that I should be able to do anything I want with no responsibilities because you have no right to try to change or correct me.

Repeat loud and long....................

Fantastic article. So many great points. Almost one per sentence!

And the comment about "churches" leaving the Bible - he is SO right on. Just look at the Episcopals with their recently appointed homosexual, adulterer, alcoholic Bishop who abandoned his wife and children (something worked with a woman for him to have kids) to play with another man. As 1 Timothy says that church leadership must be above reproach how exactly does that Bishop qualify? He doesn't, of course. The church threw the Bible away for political correctness.

"For several years I worked directly with the chairman and president on management culture change with Employee Involvement process."

What kind of horse hockey is that? "Management Culture" needs years to figure out listening to your workers?

And we are to take this guy seriously speaking for Jesus and our founding fathers?

It's called undoing what the corrupt union management has instilled. Yes, that's a VERY difficult job and is still only partly there.

As little work for as much pay. Good luck changing that. And anyone who can, I'd certainly listen to them.

ACLU founder and longtime executive director Roger Baldwin's infamous quote :

"I am for socialism, disarmament and ultimately for abolishing the state itself as an instrument of violence and compulsion.

I seek social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and sole control by those who produce wealth.

Communism is the goal."

This is true folks. It has to happen to fulfill the prophecy of the Bible and the return of Jesus to take up those who believe.

I am not saying we should just lay down and accept, no contrary to that we should shout out about these injustices, we should stand against the tide, but most of all we should be follow the Word of God and be ready for his coming.

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Interesting reply. Considering that, and your previous reply, do you have some connection to this thread beyond your posts?

I'm not sure what you mean - "some connection." But now that I think about it I guess I do have a connection. I won't keep it a secret from you any longer.

1: I am a Christian

2: When I was a kid my Dad owned a Ford (Ford = connection?) station wagon for a while. It broke a push rod while the family was vacationing in Colorado (from Maryland). What better place to have to stay over for a couple of days - Hot Springs Colorado. It was repaired under warranty and the Ford dealer did a good job.

3: I have a job and managers.

4: I'm not in any union.

5: I have a masters degree in engineering management.

6: Ford is spelled with four letters and my last name is spelled with four letters. Although my last name is not Ford and doesn't even have an F, O, R, or D in it.

Are these the connections that you are looking for?

Oh, wait! One more:

As a kid I had a Ford riding lawn mower that I used to cut lawns with. It was quite a little lawn cutting empire that I had going.
