My thoughts exactly. Why aren't Burger King, McDonalds, Dairy Queen, KFC, A&W, Chik-a-filet and the others affected?

Just to add to any info you may be collecting. I ate takeout from a Taco Bell here in eastern upstate NY 3 days after the outbreak. No problems at the TB up here.

TB is among the worst of fast food chains. I have switched to Qdoba and Chipotle (when available) for my burrito needs.

>>>...shouldn't we wonder why the outbreak hasn't affected other restaurants, etc. ?

It has. Taco John's restaurants in Cedar Falls, IA and Austin & Albert Lea Mn have had E. coli issues recently - and those cases are tied to lettuce, and are the same E. coli strain.

Prolly cause Taco Bell must buy produce by the boxcar. I wouldn't be too surprised if they were the exclusive customer of a farm or two. Thus, crop contamination in a particular field would go to one customer.
