FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 18 December 2006 CONTACT: Tim Bueler (530) 401-3285 www.MinutemanProject.com THE MINUTEMAN PROJECT VISIT DEMOCRAT PARTY EXECUTIVE BOARD MEETING

Anaheim, CA - The Minutemen visit at the California Democrat Party Executive Board Meeting this past week was no doubt a surprise to many.

"The visit was prompted by the fact that many of our Minutemen are registered Democrats who believe in securing our borders and stopping the latest amnesty scam in Washington. We were treated with respect and I felt that the Minutemen have long overlooked the conservatives that make up a large part of the Democrat party," noted Stephen Eichler, Executive Director of the Minuteman Project.

Eichler went on to say, "The Minuteman Project, founded by Jim Gilchrist, is a multi-ethnic, non- partisan volunteer organization that is serving our nation in a unique and special way, we believe in the rule of law. This is why the Minutemen must be receptive to every American who believes in the sovereignty of our great nation no matter what their party affiliation is."

The two-day Democrat Executive Board Meeting at the Hilton Hotel in Anaheim, California, marked a turning point in California politics. Special Caucuses were the order of the day. From the Native America Caucus to the Hispanic Caucus this convention proved an interesting starting point for the Minutemen to attend.

"We have been a long time ally of the Minuteman Project and we couldn't be prouder of our friendship," stated Carl Olson, Chairman of State Department Watch. Carl Olsen was an honored guest of the Minuteman-Patriot delegation that attended the convention.

When asked, "What do you think you accomplished at the convention?" Stephen Eichler responded: "We took the first step in encouraging the large silent conservative movement inside the Democrat Party to come out of the shadows and make their voices heard."

No real surprise. You deal with the party in power.

I think we'd be stupid not to do the same on this issue. This is the time to let the dems see the petitions pouring out of their fax machines and email boxes filled with our thoughts on amnesty

Well the way I see it is that I'm still a constituent whether I voted for them or not.

Simply retreating from the democrats is like giving them free reign to do whatever the hell they want and I'm not going to sit back and cry because they have power.

The Dim leaders have made it clear they don't want any part of the illegal immigration issue. They hope to use this issue against the Repubs in 08, blaming all the woes on the Bush Admin. Funny thing is.....Bush is actually in their court. Dims=Stupid!
