While Drudge and everyone else is caught up in Obamamania, Tancredo throws his hat in the race as well.

There is nothing wrong with splitting the conservative vote. That's what the primaries are designed to do.

I'm happy that Tancredo and Paul will be in the debates, but I do hope they drop out before the actual primary elections. The way I see it, Mitt, Rudy and McCain will split the liberal/moderate vote. If Duncan Hunter is the only conservative in there, he could just have a shot at winning.

I am probably one of the 1% of Freepers who likes Tancredo..but he would get my vote if elections held today.

The great majority of freepers like Tancredo. He won a FR sidebar straw poll several months ago.

I hear the sound of a thousand manure spreaders starting up with which to fling the bullcrap at Tancredo.

The dung flinging anti-conservative harpies and thread chimps will be busy for a while. Sad that a once conservative forum could be hijacked by people who have nothing better to do than to trash conservatives.

And I support Hunter too.

Good catch. I believe you are correct. Add Thompson to the list.

I know where Tancredo stands on immigration, and I like it. But I don't know much else about him. Where does he stand on abortion, the WOT and big/small government?

His conservative credentials are impeccable. I have challenged the Tancredo-trashing harpies to find a Republican in Congress with a better set of ratings and they have failed.

Rep. Tom Tancredo's ratings from various conservative organizations:

100% "Best and Brightest" Rating from American Conservative Union (one of only 38 other Congressmen)
100% Rating from National Right to Life Committee
100% Rating from Conservative Index (Spring '05 - 75% lifetime, tied for second highest rating)
100% Rating from Concerned Women for America
100% Rating from Christian Coalition
100% Rating from Campaign for Working Families
100% Rating from FreedomWorks
98% Rating from National Tax Limitation Committee (average since 1999)
95% "Taxpayer Hero" Rating from Citizens Against Government Waste
95% Rating from Americans for Tax Reform
95% Rating from Christian Action Network
93% Rating from Eagle Forum (tied for second highest rating)

Rep. Tom Tancredo's ratings from various leftist organizations:
0% Rating from National Education Association
0% Rating from National Organization for Women
0% Rating from Brady Campaign
0% Rating from People for the American Way
0% Rating from Planned Parenthood
0% Rating from Pro-Choice America

Not Hunter and not Tancy. They cannot win.

Tancredo's suggestion to bomb Mecca is not much different than Ahmanutjob's suggestion to erase Israel.

Serious candidates do not talk this way.

AMEN!

Needs work.

Not Hunter and not Tancy. They cannot win. want to do something to curtail illegal immigration.

They want to do something to curtail illegal immigration.

Then stay in the House and quit bad-mouthing legislation that addresses the problem.
Simple...but not as profitable.

Such as dealing with illegal immigration by rewarding those who have done such? That's a great way to make sure we get even MORE illegal immigration.

Oh, and in regards to staying in the House - apparently not enough people in the Senate and the White House think that we need to deal with illegal immigration by actually sanctioning such, the better to discourage more of it. So since common sense is apparently in such short supply elsewhere in DC, it only makes sense that House members have little choice but to try and go beyond the House to deal with this issue.

I suppose you next will line up an attack on Duncan Hunter, eh? What line of attack will you use on him?

Wow, that's excellent. I'll need to look into both the pro's and cons for Tancredo, but the pro's are looking pretty good. I know no politician will be perfect, but as I said in another post, my most important criteria are 1. pro-life, 2. anti-illegal immigration 3. pro-small government and 4. pro-WOT. From what you wrote it seems he meets all four.

I agree that Tancredo cannot. Hunter is another story, though. Rudy, Mitt and McCain are going to split the liberal/moderate vote. If Hunter is the only conservative, he might just have the chance to pull this off. If Hunter's numbers looked good, would you consider giving him your primary vote?

Tancredo's Guest Worker Bill went nowhere so he wouldn't support other Rep's Guest Worker Bill.
A Guest Worker Bill was better than the amnesty looming with Nancy & Co.
Tom & Co. have noone to blame but themselves.

And what in the world is so bad about Bay Buchanan? She was obviously good enough for Ronald Reagan. Why do you keep pointing out that a guy you obviously dislike is associated with a Reagan cabinet member? Do you really expect people on a conservative forum to think less of Tancredo for this?

Yes.
Hell, if it's Tancredo vs. Hillary I'd vote Tancredo.
I ain't crazy.

I was referencing your non-stop spamming of the Tancredo/Buchanan graphic. I'm curious when you will resort to a similar line of attack on Hunter.
