Thanks for the ping.
Rudy may not be THE nominee for republican presidential candidate, but he MAY be A nominee for a third party ticket, because he has no loyalty to this party.
Take the pro life plank away from the GOP, and it will lose badly.
Would any of you like some insight?
I am not a lawyer. I am just sick and tired of our elected officials playing word games with OUR Constitution and our laws.
Roe v. Wade was judicial fiat at it’s finest. (example wise that is)
If I were Mitt Romney, I would quote the last part of Article 7 of the Constitution that states “no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to ANY office or public trust under the Unites States.”
The same goes for the questions concerning Roe v. Wade.
I think Justice Blackmun left the case open for reinterpretation intentionally;
1) because of the medical field’s so little knowledge of the matter at the time
2) because no past case had EVER held another person accountable for murder for killing the unborn while intentionally harming the pregnant mother
3) and because of the advancement in the medical field itself
All of this is mentioned in Roe v. Wade, yet none of it is spoke of when the subject is brought up.
To quote NOW when Roe v. Wade was to be heard by the Supreme Court, this was their stand and reasoning:
“State abortion laws are outdated laws that are in need of major overhaul, whose court interpretation and demeanor is out of step with modern times.”
If someone would just quote this when asked about Roe, and follow up with some of the suggestions that Justice Blackmun placed before the Court in Roe, liberals would both be appalled and outraged, yet I beleive stunned also.
