Once upon a time I was a PowerPoint Ranger. I’ve done very little of it the last 5 years, though.

It seems to me that some court got overruled on this. That means it made through one layer and got stopped at the 2nd.

Is that correct?

The claim was initially rejected before it ever got to trial. A court of appeal overruled that decision and indicated that there were triable issues of fact and sent the case back to be tried. A trial was held and at the conclusion of the trial, before the jury was able to render a verdict, the trial judge issued a ruling that the plaintiffs (the kid’s parents) had not proved their case and gave a directed verdict for the church. The parents appealed and this is the final opinion on that case.
