Hunter is unelectable and would only insure a Donk win Bologna. If Hunter's nominated he'll attract the union and old Reagan Democrats. Like it or not sovereignty is a huge issue in 2008, which is why you're seeing lots of support for Ron Paul.

You make a good point that many party line republicans won't like. The simple fact is that Reagan's GOP wasn't hell bent on destruction of the unions. Reagan was tough with them (see the airlines) but a true straight shooter who didn't avoid meeting with union members.
Since I'm already agitating republicans I may as well point out that a lot of the comments about unions I read here at FR sound almost like the global warming crap coming from the left. I was a "union thug" but was never issued a baseball bat, nor did I make $30 an hour, I made a little over $12 an hour as a paint tech. Many of my conservative friends are union members who have little use for democrats. Even more amazing to some would be the discovery that there are quite a few FReepers who are union members who quietly bite their tongues to get along here.
While Ron Paul isn't my guy, he is one of 3 honest men in the race. Hunter and Tancredo are the others.
