Apparently some people don’t really care about honesty like Hunter’s. They prefer someone who tells them what they want to hear. Hunter is too good a man to lie to get elected.

You are correct that so many choose who to vote for based on whether a candidate tells them what they want, or think they want, to hear.
I find honesty a good thing. Also, I vote based on evidence of a candidates past, as well as whether or not I agree with the candidate.
