I am again posting the story on one of our American heroes Army Specialist Ahmed Altaie. I have posted several times in past about Ahmed's case asking for anyone who reads the post to contact their Senators and Congressman to ask for an update on Ahmed's status. This was done in the hope that if there were enough inquires it would elevate the investigation into his whereabouts. To date: no new information has been received or released concerning Ahmed's status since March 15, 2007.
Ahmed is a Iraqi American U.S. Army linguist soldier, from Ann-Arbor, Michigan who was kidnapped on October 23, 2006 in Baghdad exactly one year ago today. Ahmed was born in Iraq and moved to the United States as a teenager. He joined the Army Reserves in December 2004 and was was deployed to Iraq in November 2005. He saw this as a way to serve two countries, his native born Iraq and his newly adopted United States. On October 23rd, 2006 while visiting his Iraqi wife, he and his cousin were kidnapped by a group calling themselves Ahel al-Beit Brigades. His cousin was released shortly after.
As posted here previously; A video was released of Ahmed to prove that he was alive along with a ransom for $250,000. That was last anyone has seen or heard from Ahmed or his kidnappers.
As of October 23rd, 2007 there are four US servicemen still missing; two from Michigan.

All four of these men must not be forgotten. Please take a moment to remember these four and their families in your prayers. Let's make sure the Army doesn't forget them either; contact your Senator or Congressman and request a status on these American heroes.
PING
thanks for this info.
BTTT! And prayers as well.
Thank you, Kathy, for staying on this story. Prayers are up.
Don’t worry, these four men are just POWs and are kept in a clean camp, receive three meals per day and have access to religious literature. It’s only too bad that the International Red Cross has no way of knowing where they are kept (and really don’t give a damn anyway).
bttt
I think this is what makes me sickest about the attitude towards this war. Our liberal media will not acknowledge that any of our soldiers have acted like heroes. We get no human interest stories about the good that our men have done and are doing in Iraq. The liberal media will not acknowledge the missing because that does not fit into their agenda. The only stories we will get is the plight of poor women and children separated from their husbands by the evil Bush war machine who sent their husbands to disrupt the lives of Iraqis and destroy their wonderful country.
I do think that this is shame on us. We have pages and pages on threads about a missing teen in Aruba and Anna Nicole’s death. I’m sure we have had threads about these missing men and POWs, but we certainly haven’t given it the daily attention and outrage that it deserves.
Thanks.
Remember them.
Thank you for the thread. The unknown has to be the worse feeling for the families.
Thanks for the post. Pray that these men are still alive and released soon. Never Forget Them!!!!
Thanks so much. I think that what upsets me the most about this story. These men have been forgotten by the MSM.
It breaks my heart when I hear the families talk about their missing loved ones. Daring to hope against hope that they are still alive. I think that must be the worst.. the not knowing..
Thanks for posting this, Panther. Our prayers are with these soldiers and their families.
Thank you pinkpanther. Prayers for these heroes and their families.
