I know, its a scary thought... however, I actually fear an Barak Hussein Obama presidency MORE! I'd probably take anyone else over the Clintons again. At least Obama's people don't randomly commit 'Arkancide' or sell weapons to the Chinese for campaign cash.
Norman Hsu wasn't just scared of a few years in a white collar prison when he tried to kill himself.

The ideal scenario: Hillary! goes nuclear and destroys Obama but the carnage is so ghastly that she irreparably damages herself on the way to the nomination.
P.S. This is also the most likely scenario.

Until I see my leftist co-worker scraping the Hillary in 08 bumper sticker off his rear window, don’t count her out just yet. There is a powerful powerful machine behind her and you can bet they are working on a strategy to take Obama down. I think they will go after his Cocain past. Yea, it is old news - but you havn’t been beaten over the head with it night after night like when Bush’s past drinking problem was exploited on all forums from the evening news to late night talk.
To: Invisigoth
Just think, though. If she can’t get her party’s nomination... what hell of a deal she will force them to in order to stay politically viable. If the Liberal candidate DOES succeed in the national election, she could end up at the UN (or elsewhere free to continue her monkeyshines) in some kind of quid pro quo she might arrange for standing down... Her demonstrated unscrupulousness makes her way too frightening and toxic to be ANYWHERE near power, responsibility, influence or authority!!

Correction: there are 4049 Dem delegates overall. The winner needs 2025.
(For the GOP, it's 2380 total and 1191 needed for victory.)

If Obama is the candidate and is not fatally wounded in some way, the sense of historical moment and enthusiasm for the new will be almost impossible to overcome.
Hillary is a much easier target and she focuses our anger. I would much rather run a campaign against Hillary.

Obama is bullet-proof in terms of attacking his background, lack of experience, socialist agenda, and Black Separatism church.....simply because you can’t attack a black person on issues without being branded “racist” or “bigot”....that’s political correctness today.

“In Memphis, there is already a campaign by the black community, that if you dont vote for Obama, you are a racist.”
____________________________________________________________
Nothing new there. He (Obama) started off his campaign saying just that. When asked by the press if he thought there were voters who would vote against him because of his stand on issues he replied, (paraphrased) Yes...Republicans. He was then asked if he thought there were voters who would vote against him because he is black, he replied (again, paraphrased) Yes...those same people.
I wish I had a link to it. It was very early in his campaign. It may even have been at the time he announced.

In Memphis, there is already a campaign by the black community, that if you dont vote for Obama, you are a racist.
So much for MLK's spiel about content of character versus color of skin.
To: Roccus
So, playing to the base, let ME paraphrase:
Obama says: “All Republicans are racists.”

"...P.S. This is also the most likely scenario..." I agree. Hillary will not go down without destroying her surroundings. Obama has a Clinton target on him, and he knows it. I think Obama will win the nomination, but he will be very battered with Clinton crap. I think Obama's running mate could seal the deal to a win.
As far as our side goes, I am a Fred supporter, but someone needs to wake Fred up. I don't see any other candidate that can unite the conservative base enough to win.

She is going to drop a bomb on him very soon if she loses in NH.
There is something the clintonistas have been holding back and it will explode on the scene soon.

Obama is definately the better candidate for the Dems, especially if they want to run on ‘change’.
Hillary Clinton isn’t ‘change’ she’s the rep for the status quo, such as it is, in 2008.

LCV, if you're seeing this, I am Fonz from the old Viking Underground/Viking Update/NFCNorth forums. You're VERY mistaken, old friend. Obama is more dangerous than Shillary because people
LIKE Obama a lot, and people
DISLIKE Shillary.
Shillary is our best hope to reclaim the White House, not Obama. Not even Democrats like Shillary, but there are a LOT of Republicans that like Obama.
