Yes, IMHO, we have a better chance of defeating Hillary! than Obama.

I agree with you. But the Clintons are such cheaters that I want to get rid of her now - I don't trust them one little bit, they would do anything to win this. Got to destroy her now, while there is momentum. We may not see this chance again if she gets her claws in deep enough - she won't let go.

The problem is if Clinton loses these primaries, and Obama becomes the nominee, we’ll see her running for POTUS again in 2012, 2016, 2020....

I don't agree. Inevitablility was 100% of Hillary! Clinton's appeal. People were lining up to support her because they knew she could be counted on to grant favors and hold grudges once she was elected. But if the prospect of favors and grudges is no longer assured, they are not going to stick around because of her winning personality.

Obama, OTOH, will be a good opponent. It will be an up-or-down, Left vs. Right election. We should all relish the good fight. We might lose, but at least we would lose on substance.

The idea that "she's down" is total BS. Looking at all of the declared delegates so far, she has 56%, compared to Obama's 22%.

Not a chance. This is it for the Clintons. She's old, she's unattractive. Bill is not nearly as popular as he was. Their ideas are obsolete this year -- four years from now, it will seem like a joke to go back to the good old days.

Now, having saidf that, I will add that I think Hillary will cripple Obama, and possibly squeak out the nomiantion (her superdelegates are crucial). The result may be a GOP landslide because a lot of Obama voters may stay home in November if she pulls out all the stops to get Obama off the stage.

In Memphis, there is already a campaign by the black community, that if you don’t vote for Obama, you are a racist.

Yes, Hillary is very beatable in the general due to her high negatives, given a fair election.

Do you believe the Clintons intend a fair election?

Wouldn’t it be better not to give them the opportunity?

Obama’s big lead in NH merely has him earning ONE more delegate than Hillary. Right now, it’s 3-to-2. The Dem candidate needs 4,049 delegates overall. Obama’s big bonus of ONE isn’t going to help him... but the media is certainly doing their level best to ake Hillary look vulnerable, setting her up for a “Comeback Kid” moniker, just like her hubby.

While I would love to see both Clintons gone from public life (but I'm afraid that like Carter, they'll keep coming back), I really wonder if it's not in the best interest of the country to have her beat Obama. I'm really worried that Obama's even slicker that "slick willie" and will roll right into the White House, due to all the reasons that SW got in, plus "liberal, white guilt."

When you combine that with the poor choice that we'll be given on the republican side, we're probably looking at the conservative base of the republican party sitting this one out, like they did during the 2006 elections - which those in charge of the RNC never did quite figure out. At least with Hillary as the dem candidate, that might be enough to get the conservative base out to vote.

“... Mrs. Clinton’s political prowess and personal skills were vastly overrated by just about everyone. Her entire political career has been contrived – created by circumstances set up for her not to fail, and driven from day one by an agenda to position her for the presidency. There has never really been any rationale for her designs on the big job, other than just that she wants it.”

AIN’T IT THE TRUTH!!!

if you don’t vote for Obama, you are a racist.

I should have started laying my bets MUCH earlier. I KNEW this would happen.

Maybe some of my willfully ignorant lib relatives would be still willing to bet with me.

There will be a nationwide movement, if Obama gets the nod, to try to guilt people into voting for the black man.

It will be subtle, like:
"There are some in America that wouldn't vote for a black man simply because of his race [and you wouldn't want to be thought of as among those people, would you?]"

It would be great to see the Clintons out of the picture, but Obama could very well be our next president, and he’s a big liberal too.

Along with Keith Ellison, more Muslim infiltration into our government.

The Republicans would be wise to counter this attack by looking at some good conservative black candidates for Vice President.

I’m interested in seeing just how negative H! is prepared to go if she loses NH. Will she destroy any chance BO has in the general election?
