Of course, his treasonous back-stabbing against all the troops in the field and millions of veterans is a matter of public record in 1971 and did not depend at all upon the controversy about his performance in Vietnam. That is one point that was often (intentionally) lost in the MSM treatment of the controversy — there should have been far more focus on what he said and did back in the states, which was all a matter of public record. He sought to actively undermine our nation and warriors while combat was continuing.
