But the real reason for Obama’s extraordinary freakout is that he fears the release of the videotape, reported here, of Michelle Obama in the pulpit of Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s church railing against “whitey.” And we don’t mean Whitey Ford. Four Republican sources have told me that the tape exists. I’ve also been informed that Karl Rove and his allies have a copy of it and are using it to raise funds for independent expenditure groups. The tape, I’m told, will be disclosed as the GOP October Surprise. It’s a ticking time bomb.

And I’ve learned that a right-wing Republican billionaire has put a $1 million bounty on the video. He doesn’t want John McCain to win, like a number of conservatives, and thinks Obama is a pathetically weak candidate. The billionaire wants that video released now.

Obama, speaking on ABC’s “Good Morning America” showed fear through his name-calling: “If they think that they’re gonna try to make Michelle an issue in this campaign, they should be careful. Because, that I find unacceptable. … The notion that you start attacking my wife or my family — you know, Michelle is the most honest, the best person I know. She is one of the most caring people I know. She loves this country. And for them to try to distort or to play snippets of her remarks in ways that are unflattering to her I think is … just low class.”

Does Obama have a copy of the “whitey” video? We know that he knows that his wife knows. The video really does exist. If we have to wait until October to see it, Obama might explode before then from the tension.

Unfortunately, because of the tens of millkions who have been entrapped with the enticement of the public largess and those offering it (from our pockets mind you), there are far, far too many who care not a whit what this man represents or believes as long as he promises that they will "get theirs".

We must rally the votes and get it out in masses like with Bush in 2004 (and with McCain that is going to be understandably harder to do). Better to give to Hillary a week or two from now and let her release it. And you can bet she will. Effect will be that Obama will have more votes, more delegates, but Hillary will rip the party apart trying to get the nomination from Obama. This will drive blacks away in droves if she wrests the nomination from him, and drive Reagan democrats away in droves if he retains it. If we wait until after he is the nominee and then it is seen as the pubs releasing the video, blacks will be galvanized and pubs demonized in the press (more so than is typical).

Wanting it to be true does not make it so. While I have no doubt that Michelle has said things which would render BHO’s campaign toxic to all but the most militant racist activists and haters of America (lol - she already has gotten pretty damn close), there is simply no information available I can use to judge the veracity of claims that an actual tape exists. I take very little ‘on faith’, especially in politics. I spent a lot of time in Missouri :)

The tape would be devastating. If it comes out too soon, Obama will nix it and it will be old news by election time.

Obama has his followers true blue, but it’s the white vote he needs and this tape would make that all but unlikely.

Also, the MSM would not make much of the tape unless it has a grass roots following starting with Fox News.

My guess is that if it exists, it would be our advantage if Hillary’s camp put it out.
