Mexico's Ambassador would have gotten a serious a$#chewing, and the perps would have been thrown in prison.

I’m sure the Mexican soldiers were working their second job (for the drug cartels) and that the President and Congress will see this as a good reason to send more money to Mexico.

Personally, I see this as an excellent reason to build Korean DMZ type defenses along the border with Mexico - minefields, stacks of concertina wire, bunkers, military patrols and rapid-response gunships.
