If there's anything damaging in it, it could be that the Father was noted as 'Unknown'. That's if one exists at all.

Oh, good! Government documented proof that Obama has no father at all. That's just what this election needs now; a government sanctioned immaculate conception!!!

Not sure what you mean? A Media stunt? On the part of whom? To what end?

Further on in post # 910 Polarik says this:

In the beginning, there was Dr X. Dr X. took a certified COLB, that DID NOT BELONG TO OBAMA, scanned it, and then proceeded to Photoshop out two of the three folds, and all of the field headers and data, using pieces of the background and the HEALING tool to blend them in — that is why the Kos seal is so faint.

Then, with a blank canvas on which to paint his “masterpiece of fakery,” freshly typed in the filed names and the MODIFIED data fields to make it look like a COLB from BHO.

Dr X then gave it up to the Kos , who then proceeded to proudly display it on its web page.

Meanwhile, back at the Obama ranch, news of the posted image hit the Obamanites like a bombshell, and they proceeded to copy the newly-minted image, while making plans to post it on their “Fight the Smears” site.

BEFORE they could do that, the authenticity of the Kos image was challenged by OpenDNA, and in a move they have regretted, challenged OpenDNA to produce a faked COLB.

He doubled their dismay by producing two from their original image: one totally blank, except for the field and date for the island of birth and time of birth — both simply left there by OpenDNA as he proceeded to blot out the rest of the fields and data. In his second rendition, he entered that weird name for the child field.

The “Smears shmucks” were caught, flatfooted. They quickly slammed down their direct copy of the Kos image, and claimed, “Here is his birth certificate,” after weakly countering the argument that BHO was not born in the USA .

Realizing the dumb move of posting a really good copy of the fake that was open to inspection, the Smears shmucks pulled it down and replaced it with one almost half its size.

They also removed the “Here is his birth certificate,” claim! So, instead of seeing an image tied to a counterargument verified by the COLB, we just have a totally different argument, followed by an orphaned image.

...because there are too many things we don’t know.

Not the least of which is Hillary's position or even possible role in these proceedings. The silence from the various camp headquarters is deafening. It appears that McCain, Hillary, and Barry are watching very quietly whilst keeping their powder dry.

From Hillary's standpoint, the lid would best be blown off this can of worms before the Dims nominate the International Man of Mystery. McCain would be better off if there were to be harmful disclosures close enough to the the election to do damage but not too early for there to be time for effective damage control by BO and Co.

You said: “What we need is a Free Republic Wiki that integrates with the threads so that we can access them and manage articles that summarize our understanding of each topic so that as new facts and info is added we don’t have to keep repeating ourselves in the threads to maintain a memory of what has already been established.

That sure would be helpful. I imagine it will take some money.”

You can start a free wiki at pbwiki. I don’t have time, but it’s ridiculously simple to set up and you can use WYSIWYG editor so that you don’t even have to remember various wiki editing commands. They let you set up any number of free ones, so the easiest thing would be to create 1 per issue (e.g. 1 for Obama’s birth certificate, as opposed to some huge wiki on all stuff related to Obama). That way, whoever sets it up could organize a basic outline of the site’s structure and people could add to it.

It would be helpful to have Jim Robinson create a section of links to such wikis, but once it’s set up and people have added some basic content, it will be a lot easier for people to find and point to relevant sections of the wiki rather than hunt through a bazillion posts etc. Moreover, by having everything all in one place, newbies to the issue will have a readily accessible way of getting up to speed and hopefully will be less prone to posting questions that have been asked and answered 10 times.

There is some merit in your theory, SE Mom.

I am not so certain how much attention Mr. Obama actually pays to his “fight-the-smears” website. I can imagine him tossing whoever posted it there under the bus with the rest of them, being “surprised” at all the chatter, etc...

He then comes across “pure as the driven snow”, and makes the “speculators/smearers/gossipy right wing racist look like complete and total fools.

I think, at this point, that it might be wise to be patient and wait a while.

Perhaps the MSM is working behind the scenes to track stuff down, hesitant because they do not want to look like they are taking “sting” bait?

We shouldn’t lose any sleep over it at this point. Time will tell, I think.

Think this over, Ernest, a Birth Certificate is an innocuous document. It provides no sensitive information; its just the birth record, parents and place of birth. If there's anything damaging in it, it could be that the Father was noted as 'Unknown'. That's if one exists at all.

Not true. The Birth Record (commonly known as a Birth Certificate) has much more information than a short-form Certification of Live Birth. Click here for more information.

From Wikipedia (please pardon me for not reformatting it all):

Birth certificates in the United States

Long forms

Sample of a long form birth certificate

Long forms, also known as certified photocopies, book copies, and photostat copies, are exact photocopies of the original birth record that was prepared by the hospital or attending physician at the time of the child's birth [2]. The long form usually includes parents' information (address of residence, race, birth place, date of birth, etc.), additional information on the child's birthplace, and information on the doctors that assisted in the birth of the child. The long form also usually includes the signature of the doctor involved and at least one of the parents [3].

In the U.S., the U.S. National Center for Health Statistics creates standard forms that are recommended for long form birth certificate use. However, states are free to create their own forms [4]. These "forms" are completed by the attendant at birth or a hospital administrator, which are then forwarded to a local or state registrar, who stores the record and issues certified copies when requested [5].

Long forms may become obsolete in years to come, as many states have begun to use Electronic Birth Registration systems [6]. The use of these systems will enable information typically seen on certified copies (long forms) to be available in computer databases that typically issue short form certificates, thus eliminating the need for "hard copy" long form certificates and having all birth information stored in computer databases only. This benefits parents in many ways; registration can be completed via computer at the hospital, meaning that parents can stop by their Vital Statistics office on the way home from the hospital to purchase the birth certificate instantly [7]. It also means that the extra cost for long form certificates will no longer be a factor.

[edit] Short forms

Sample of a short form birth certificate (certification of birth)
Sample of a short form birth certificate (certification of birth)

Short forms, known sometimes as computer certifications, are not universally available, but are cheaper than photocopies and much more easily accessible. Limited information is taken from the original birth record (the long form) and stored in a database that can be accessed quickly when birth certificates are needed in a short amount of time. Whereas the long form is a copy of the actual birth certificate, a short form is a document that certifies the existence of such certificate, and is usually titled a "Certification of Birth" or "Certificate of Birth Registration". The short form typically includes the child's name, date of birth, sex, and place of birth, although some also include the names of the child's parents. When the certification does include the names of the parents, it can be used in lieu of a long form birth certificate in almost all circumstances [2]. Nearly all states in the U.S. issue short forms certifications, on both state and local levels [8].

[edit] Other forms

In addition to short forms and long forms, many registration authorities also have wallet-sized short form birth certifications available, and apostille/exemplified certifications which are hand signed by the registrar and are to be used when being presented before the government of a foreign country, pursuant to the 1961 Hague Convention. Other registration authorities will even issue commemorative certificates, many of which are legal certifications of birth [9].

Most hospitals in the U.S. issue a souvenir birth certificate which typically includes the footprints of the newborn. However, these birth certificates are not legally accepted as proof of age or citizenship, and are frequently rejected by the Bureau of Consular Affairs during passport applications. Many Americans believe these souvenir records to be their official birth certificate, when in reality it holds little legal value [10].

If I believed no reporters were on this already, I’d have you a Hawaiian or Kenyan record soon enough, if they exist...it’s not that difficult to obtain legally, despite the laws. People just have to read the restrictions carefully to see how.

There were lots of posts like yours back in ‘04 saying we were going to look really stupid because we dared question John “Paul Jones” Kerry’s military service.

Excellent point. I hope I'm wrong, I would love to find out the Obama is not eligible for the presidency AFTER the convention. That would be so fun.

Adding to your reasons why this is embarrassing to FR.

Birth certificates are easily obtainable at ever registrar of vital statistics office in just about every county courthouse in the nation.

If anyone wants a certified copy of the Nobama certificate, all you have to do is ask the clerk in the county courthouse where he says he was born. Pay the clerks fee and be on your way.

If he was born abroad, the following applies.

  1. A child born abroad to two U.S. citizen parents in wedlock acquires U.S. citizenship at birth, provided that one of the parents resided in the U.S. prior to the child's birth. No specific period of time for such residence is required.

  2. A child born abroad to one U.S. citizen parent and one alien parent in wedlock acquires U.S. citizenship at birth, provided the citizen parent was physically present in the U.S. for the time period required by the law.

That's if an original Certificate of Birth from Hawaii exists.

I don't think at the time 'bastard' would be on the BC.

Good catch on the slip of the tongue there. Cleaning up my act now......

Polarik starts out saying that the resoloution of an electronic image is based on dots per inch. However, resolution of an image is simply the number of pixels that it contains.

It's not an error, though many people now have a misunderstanding of the term "resolution" based on computer display marketing. When you use a given screen size, then you can use pixel dimensions as a proxy for "resolution," in a general comparative sense (though such things as dot size aren't included).

Yes it is an error.

The resolution of an electronic image -- in this case the image contained within the JPEG -- has nothing to do with displaying or printing. It only has to do with the number pixels and total dimension of those pixels.

The McKinnon image contains less pixels than the other image independent of any screen display. That's all one has to do to see that the McKinnon image was NOT the originating image.

*sigh* I am abundantly aware that islam is a so-called religion not a race.

I am abundantly aware that koranimals come in every imaginable shape, size, color, nationality, and for all I know, species.

(FWIW, I used to work for a Desi who was Roman Catholic, I rilly, rilly get it that religious belief and practice are only loosely coupled to ethnic background and, for want of a better word, race. I also know that even the darkest complected Pakistani is, in an ethnological sense, every bit as Caucasian as my pale skinned European ancestors)

Give me a word to use here? I want a word designed specifically to provoke a knee jerk revulsion and rejection of everything the speaker says, does or stands for. Bigoted and prejudiced don’t carry the emotional punch that calling someone racist does. They are too intellectual.

Gimme a word that bitch-slaps the one it’s directed at, and I’d gladly use it instead of the much less accurate ‘racist’.

BTW, since I wasn’t trying to bitch-slap you, I probably should have softened it with a ;^P or a < /sarc> tag...

[Obama campaign spokesman Tommy Vietor says the campaign “isn’t going to let dishonest smears spread across the internet unanswered. Whenever challenged with these lies we will aggressively push back with the truth and help our supporters debunk the false rumors floating around the internet.” He calls the website “an action center that allows supporters to upload their address books and send emails to all of their friends. It’s not enough to just know the truth, we have to be proactive and fight back.”]

My questions are , Why are they NOT pushing back with the ‘truth’ on his BC issue?

Is it because they don’t have anything to fight back with?

Are they scrabbling to produce a document that will hold up under the scrutiny of sites like Free Republic?

Why are they stone walling a response which could very easily be produced by showing the REAL BC?

To obama, (if that is your real name), PRODUCE A VERIFIABLE BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND PUT THIS TO REST, that is what’s called FIGHTING BACK WITH THE TRUTH.

1. The U.S. has a Standard Birth Certificate form that they encourage states to use.
2. FWIW, I think constitutionally Feds probably can’t MAKE states use this, but they preempt objections by:
• determining the data elements that should be collected “through consultation with State health officers and registrars; Federal agencies concerned with vital statistics; national, State, and county medical societies;” and
• letting states customize it to collect whatever additional information they want: “It has been modified in each state to the extent necessitated by the particular needs of the State or by special provisions of the State vital statistics law. However, the certificates of most States conform closely in content and arrangement to the standard certificate.”
Therefore, I cannot PROVE Hawaii used this form in 1961, but there is no indication in any of the numerous vital statistics tabulations regarding Color that Hawaii’s form did not collect this information.
3. You can see a copy of the standard form in use in 1961 here: http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/vsus/vsus_1961_1.pdf on pdf page 228.
• Item 23 is Legitimate (yes or no).

Explains various dark corners. thanks.

It is not only African mine worker slaves.

Iranians of the Islamic Regime own several of the high rise luxury hotels, office buildings and residences) in Dubai and auction girls (mostly) and boys on a nightly basis as sex slaves in the basements of the hotels.

Bidders (generally Arabs but not exclusively) choose girls and boys as young as nine and buy them for a night, a week, a month or take possession of them and export them to wherever they want to use them.

For short term ones, they are returned to their original Mullah owners at the end and resold.

With some HALF MILLION homeless, unprotected street children of both sexes in the capital city of Tehran alone and some 100,000 abandoned women and girls also on the streets, without anyone to protect them, the Mullahs have a huge source of supply of flesh to send across the Gulf for the sex slave trade.

Mullahs have often set up brothels in the outskirt towns of Tehran, such a Karaj, by setting themselves up as charities and orphanages dedicated to protecting young girls (only) whose families cannot afford to support and feed them. they then use the girls as local brothel prostitutes. None of the girls dare to complain to the authorities, controlled by those very Mullahs, nor contact their families after having been shames this way.

Even within Iran, prostitution - often under the religious cover of “temporary marriages” which can be for ten minutes, an hour or any length of time, women are sucked into sellling themselves, usually for money or sometimes just for a roof over their heads and food. Or a trip to a Caspian seaside resort to have fun with a stranger as their temporary wife.

A whole tourist trade exists with the travel agencies providing their in-house Mullah to register the temporary marriages, making the whole event “legitimate” by law and by the tenets of religion, which would otherwise require the stoning or execution of the WOMAN.

Men generally get excused for being seduced by the charms of the woman and thus not culpable.

In France they say “cherchez la femme” (find the woman) to locate the source of a man’s success in life. In Iran it is find the woman to use as the fall person to blame for everything and allow the man to be blameless.

A woman and her daughter were raped by a Mullah official and stabbed him in gthe process. He died and they were condemned to death for MURDER.

This is the mentality - in addition to Communist roots - that Obama appears to want to impose on us with his “change” from traditional customs and mind sets and principles, with his pally-wally attitude to Iran.

The Mullahs have instructed their followers and agents in the USA to support and promote Obama. I was not aware of the Tanzania gem trade to Iran and Dubai but heard the Mullahs were spending fortunes trying to get him elected. Specially by covertly buying time on drive-by media, including Farsi language TV and radio stations.

Do some research, Old Man. What you say above may be true in your state, but not in Hawaii, else a Freeper would have snagged a copy weeks ago and Obama would already be out of the race...

“An applicant/requestor must provide the information needed to 1) establish his/her direct and tangible interest in the record and 2) locate the desired record. This will normally include:

* Applicant’s name, address, and telephone number(s);
* Applicant’s relationship to the person named on the certificate;
* Reason why you are requesting the certificate;
* Full name(s) as listed on the certificate;
* The certificate’s file number (if known);
* Month, day, and year of the event; and
* City or town and the island where the event occurred.
* For birth certificates, also provide the full name of the father and the full maiden name of the mother.
* If you are applying for a certificate on behalf of someone else, you must provide an original letter signed by that person authorizing the release of their certificate to you.

Of course, if you’re implying that you know how to buffalo the bureaucrats in Honolulu, be my guest. Procure a copy and post it here: it’ll only cost you $11.50. Won’t that be worth it to show us what bozos we are?
