I doubt the DNC checked it out. The fact the Obama campaign hasn’t killed this issue is very telling. He can’t afford any more distractions like this. They worked so hard to kill the Muslim thing and now they are letting this fester? It doesn’t make sense.
The Obama campaign has been devastated by viral rumoring. They have refused to allow a 3rd party to close the matter. That makes me really suspicious. Can you imagine what the media would have done if GW Bush had released Photoshopped, redacted images of his National Guard records?
Trust me, that's not how the system works. The “interest sheet” for a person considering running for Congress runs about 24 pages! It's about the same data needed to start a TS/Omega. They spend somewhere between $750,000 to $1,250,000 per candidate.

This has NO legs anywhere but here on the net. And, it only has legs among those who would never vote for him anyway. Why should they waste time. Let the distraction live.
Finally, the Muslim thing v. natural citizenship is a very different issue. The all important swing voters might move away from him on the Muslim issue, but on the citizenship issue, any person who is going to vote for him because of his promise of “free money,” (that's what it boils down to) isn't going to let some (what they would say is) “some little technicality” stand in their way.
Among the “give me everything for free” crowd, Con Law is not a big thing!
