Heard a lot of stuff come out of the mouths of preachers this year. Encouraging criminal behavior from the pulpit is a new one.

Here’s the context:
Pour out a little Hennessy [cognac], drink some 40s, smoke a bag of weed, hit a dipper or two if you want to . . . but that wont bring him back, he said. Get as drunk or as high as you want and do it in his honor if you want to, but that will not bring him back.
It sounds like he’s discouraging that kind of behavior.
Note to white folks: “Dippers” are joints that have been dipped in PCP (sometimes embalming fluid) and smoked.
I took it as denigrating the behavior. It’s all in the inflection of the voice, which in this case is easier for me to imagine the preacher using a mocking tone than an encouraging one. At least I hope that’s what he did.
Get as drunk and high as you want to doesn’t sound like discouragement.
DON’T get high and and drunk and do something stupid might have been discouragement.
"I thought a dipper was a tasty big toe dunked in ranch drething!"
Didn’t Sammy Davis Jr. have a Church like this in “Sweet Charity?”
Kind of a downscale cognac, is it not. I would prefer a nice Hine, m’self. (At least it’s not Courvoisier)
Then, a nice Colt 45 as a chaser. I’ll pass on the narcotics.
