Thanks. I’ve been following these threads with great interest but a lot of the details are pretty abstruse and I have a hard time following it.

And I can’t help thinking that, post-Rather, wannabe forgers have to know these things will be examined by people all over the world. Its like a ticking time-bomb waiting to go off when you least want it to. Or maybe the reverse, its a land-mine laid in there that can go off when you want it to.

So who made the forgery, who is pulling their string, and why won’t Obama just produce an original?

I can't speak for Polarik, but it's obviously one of the Obama hoard of supporters.

The whole idea seems almost unreal, but if you consider all the other unreal spectacles we've seen so far (e.g. Jeremiah Wright, Pfleger, Bill Ayers, Tony Rezko, the presidential tour of Europe, etc.), it starts to fit into the realm of possibility for the audacious one to think he could pull off a bogus birth certificate.

I think there's a logical (although yet unproven) case for the argument that the current birth certificate on file in Hawaii is in the name of Barry Soetoro, and that his step father adopted him before he and his mother left for Indonesia in late 1967. The proof of that, as in all adoption cases, would be sealed by court order, of course.

I also think you could argue that his mother retained an official copy of his original birth certificate in the name of Barack Hussein Obama, and when he returned from Indonesia in 1971, he used that for all official ID in the states -- but the original would also be sealed, with no record of it in Hawaii's Dept. of Health database (which is why he can't get a copy).

He may still have the original BHO certificate, but it may contain personal information (address of each parent, place of birth, etc.) that he doesn't want released for whatever reason, and, as I said above, it's the only one he'll ever have in that name, since it's no longer on file in Hawaii.

He may also have had passports in both names -- from both the US and Indonesia, which may explain the tampering with DOS passport records that took place some months back, by an employee of a contracting firm whose ex-CIA CEO is an adviser to the Obama campaign.

It's all a reach, but this campaign stretches credibility even without that possibility.
