Got it in one!!! Contravention of Rule 1 is viewed most dimly by those who know of such things.
George Pal/Paramount Pictures, 1953
Steven Spielberg/Dreamworks, 2005
Michael Latt/The Asylum 2005
Timothy Hines/Pendragon Pictures, 2005
First time I realized the major movie critics were a contrarian indicator for me was with T1.
Is that from In Living Color?
If so, what a show that was.
Go see Transformers next year.
Not only do most movie reviewers not speak for real men, they usually don't speak for real women either!
...mama mia. Here I go again. My, my....
Scarface!
I’ve rarely seen any movie that accurately depicted average Americans. They’re all effete Hollyweird screenwriters ideas of Americans. Naturally the protagonists are hard-core libs. If it’s a family, one of the siblings has to be a homosexual. The teens all smoke dope. They’re all sensitive. The kids, especially the youngest ones, are all wise beyond their years and prone to wisecracks making smart-aleck comments about their parents constantly. The scripts are many times the story of one unfortunate teen dweeb who can’t fit it with the rest of the school.. the antagonists are usually nasty, right-wing types who need to see the error of their ways.
I go to “Arrow in the Head” for my horror movie reviews.
John Fallon is a real man!!
