Russia is getting wealthier and wealthier because of their rich oil supply. We probably have more oil than Russia because of ANWR, shale oil, offshore oil, etc., and it is UNTAPPED.
By putting more oil on the global market, Russia's oil won't be that expensive, so they won't be as wealthy.
Just one more important reason to DRILL!
Write a letter to the editor to your home town newspaper, and tell readers to check out their reps’ voting record on drilling and VOTE AGAINST THEM!
The beauty of this is that the vast majority of the antidrilling reps are also liberal about other issues, as well.
This might be the best time to get rid of many of them!
We definitely have more oil than they do. Unfortunately too many people in America don’t actually believe in the free market so they don’t believe we should have access to natural resources.
“Unfortunately too many people in America dont actually believe in the free market so they dont believe we should have access to natural resources.”
But many might change their minds because it’s hitting them in the pocketbook, ESPECIALLY in the cold weather states where we need oil to heat our homes. Even wood, etc. is increasing in price, because some people are turning to other sources of energy.
We really don’t know how much oil there is until we go after it. It is estimated that we have more oil in ANWR than Russia, and more shale than Saudi Arabia, and then there’s oil throught our country, including off shore oil.
And let’s use that NUKE power, as well.
We are at the mercy of countries who don’t like us because they DRILL their oil, and we probably have more oil than any of them. We could be bigger than OPEC, plus our oil in UNTAPPED.
Instead of WEAKENING Putin’s Russia, we are helping them:

Even if Congress follows President Bush’s lead in opening off-shore oil exploration, there exist over 125,000 square miles of sea bottom that won’t be explored, because the State Department amid controversy and against the will of Alaskans has surrendered the land to Russia.”

Rice strikes again.
The only other required option is a forceful united NATO front against Moscow's vicious aggression - now, or else what is depicted below will become reality in 4 to 5 months---or far worse from the Russian neo-Soviet empire.

I would like to see that, too, and drilling in our oil-rich country is a long-term solution. But we should think both short term AND long term.
I got the idea for this thread when a caller to Mark Levin’s show said something like, Drill here, Defund Russia. Mark liked the caller’s idea, and Mark is a very smart fellow.
More drilling is simply about the Law of Supply and Demand.
Hmmmmmm, somebody posted the beginning of my thread on this website:

Enemies united in pain as Russia trumpets victory
“Expansion of drilling plus a united NATO allied front against Russia and her OPEC cohorts is a must.”
Yep, and we also should arm our allies in the region and give them whatever they need.
Among the NATO allies everyone (except the sellout-leftist-appeasers) is more than cognizant Moscow must be stopped & defeated across the board, before the Putin's ruthless Georgian invasion, occupation and plundering becomes far worse, as in scores of Russian invasions, both southward and westward.
I was happy to hear that Cindy McCain is going to Georgia, so obviously, Senator McCain thinks this is a high priority (as well as Cindy).
Cindy’s visit will help keep Georgia in the news.
More news for democracy’s sake:
“President Bush is sending Vice President Dick Cheney to Georgia and other countries in the region to underscore U.S. support in the wake of Russia’s intervention in Georgia.”
