Amazing how much high fashion these days resembles the low fashion of prostitutes of the past. Now, they’re reaching back to nearly a century ago and longer.

Wild West Whores. Looks like “Miss Kitty” from “Gunsmoke.”

I suppose if I were a fashion designer who wanted to make a name for himself, all I would need do is a little historic research. Just discover how prostitutes advertised their wares in a period no longer in living memory and “cut velvet.”
