Yes he did. I am not an Obama fan, however he did seem gracious. Also the ‘tossing’ of the flower did not seem like a gaff to me, seems like he placed it toward the center of the pond. IMO

Thanks for the clarification. That seemed a rather odd thing to me. I figured that if he didn’t shake hands that it was only because it wasn’t caught on video.

I neither saw, nor got the ‘flower thing’ as far as being a gaffe.
