With IMHO and IANL caveats, this is prima facie evidence that capturing full copies of items published in the media is legitimate fair use by a watchdog / media monitoring organization, a role at which FreeRepublic excels. The metaphor is the copy of the printed newspaper kept in a library that serves as proof that something was actually published.
