Great comments. I agree with you.
On that specific response, I agree. However, I think the truth is that the accusation had just come out, and she probably didn’t know enough at that time to give a better answer. IIRC, the accusation was first made hours before the interview. I suspect McCain’s staff was still digging in to the details, and it would have been far worse if she had offered INCORRECT details as part of her answer.
What is your evidence on this "poll" information?
You can keep on living in your fantasy world. Her repeating the same answers and her inability to take advantage of Couric's retarded MSM gotcha attempts to take control of the situation are cringe-inducing.
If you think Palin winning popularity contests among conservatives is all she need do, we're in worse trouble than I thought. We've just had 8 years of someone who was beat up by the lib press and didn't know how to respond. We don't need another 4 or 8 of that.

Couric Diminishes Gov. Palin
By The Prowler

CBS New anchor Katie Couric ordered staff to drop all references to Governor or Gov. from her interview with Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. When a staff member pointed out that in other venues, Couric and CBS News had referred to Governor Palins opponent, Joe Biden, using his title of Senator or the abbreviation, Couric, according to a CBS News editorial aide, sought approval from CBS News management to drop the Governor reference during her broadcast interview with Palin that began on Wednesday night.
In essence, she told Katie that the underlying assumptions of her questions were invalid.
That's true, but we're dealing with an audience that watches Oprah, The View, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and that kind of crap. Like it or not, there's a higher standard for Couric than there is for Biden and Obama. No, it's not fair. But she has to do better than she's been doing in terms of appearances in these situations.
Lucky for us, Obama is good with the friendly press (I'm still laughing over Stephanopoulis having to tell him his religion) and a Teleprompter, but that's about all he's got.
I’m 49 and have never had a passport. The only thing I needed way back when was my DD Form 2AF. If there’s a need, I’ll get a passport some day, until then ... nada.
“Couric wasn’t that bad - the questions were fair”
I just saw the first one and Couric was trying to play gotcha while wearing that stupid smirk.
You're right, but to date we have no choice. We're going to be hammered by the press, by their attacks, by their analysis of current events.
But we don't have to agree with them. They are going to nit pick Palin. Palin did better than most that I have ever seen.
When Couric ask the same question 4 times in a row, as did Gibson, something that has never happened in interviews, Palin handled it very well in concise to the point answers.
We should cheer our side despite the overwhelming bias of the press.
...Palin winning popularity contests among conservatives is all she need ...
Well since she's been on the ticket our fortunes have changed, the base is energized, polls are up in all categories. The MSM has now resorted to not covering Palin. When they do, they do not see the positives but hone in unfounded ridicule. They fight for Obama, they put you, but not me, in the losing defensive mode.
Shame on you, for joining them!!
I'm glad someone in this thread brought up that Fannie Mae lobbying question because it raises another question: why in earth is Katie asking Sarah about it?
