Democrats' reintroduction of militant Michelle Obama in Denver was supposed to show her softer side.  But it only highlighted a radical part of her resume: Public Allies.

Obama was a founding member of the board of Public Allies in 1992, resigning before his wife became executive director of the Chicago chapter of Public Allies in 1993.  Obama plans to use the nonprofit group, which he features on his campaign Web site, as the model for a national service corps.  He calls his Orwellian program, "Universal Voluntary Public Service."

Big Brother had nothing on the Obamas.  They plan to herd American youth into government-funded reeducation camps where they'll be brainwashed into thinking America is a racist, oppressive place in need of "social change."

The pitch Public Allies makes on its Web site doesn't seem all that radical.  It promises to place young adults (18-30) in paid one-year "community leadership" positions with nonprofit or government agencies.  They'll also be required to attend weekly training workshops and three retreats.

In exchange, they'll get a monthly stipend of up to $1,800, plus paid health and child care.  They also get a post-service education award of $4,725 that can be used to pay off past student loans or fund future education.

But its real mission is to radicalize American youth and use them to bring about "social change" through threats, pressure, tension and confrontation -- the tactics used by the father of community organizing, Saul Alinsky.

Public Allies is nothing more than an Alinsky training program designed to build a cadre of "community organizers" -- Obama wants to clone thousands of himself -- and on our dime.

The Obamas already have fifteen chapters churning out these radical Alinsky practitioners.

Public Allies has an impressive list of donors.

Now, Capital Research reports that there does indeed seem to be a "hidden Soros Slush Fund" in the Democratic Party’s official platform, as commentator Michelle Malkin recently pointed out.

At page 56 (PDF) of the platform document "Renewing America’s Promise," the party proposes the creation of a "Social Investment Fund Network":

Social entrepreneurs and leading nonprofit organizations are assisting schools, lifting families out of poverty, filling health care gaps, and inspiring others to lead change in their own communities.  To support these results-oriented innovators, we will create a Social Investment Fund Network that invests in ideas that work, tests their impact, and expands the most successful programs.

In practice, this Barack Obama brainchild would serve as a permanent, taxpayer-backed pipeline to organizations, such as Public Allies, masquerading as public-interest do-gooders.  This George Soros Slush Fund would be political payback in spades. Obama owes much of his Chicago political success to financial support from radical, left-wing billionaire and leading "social entrepreneur" Soros.

Gov. Blunt Statement on Obama Campaign’s Abusive Use of Missouri Law Enforcement

JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Matt Blunt today issued the following statement on news reports that have exposed plans by U.S. Senator Barack Obama to use Missouri law enforcement to threaten and intimidate his critics.

“St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch, St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer, and Obama and the leader of his Missouri campaign Senator Claire McCaskill have attached the stench of police state tactics to the Obama-Biden campaign.

“What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment.

“This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson’s thinking than using the power of the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights. The only conceivable purpose of Messrs. McCulloch, Obama and the others is to frighten people away from expressing themselves, to chill free and open debate, to suppress support and donations to conservative organizations targeted by this anti-civil rights, to strangle criticism of Mr. Obama, to suppress ads about his support of higher taxes, and to choke out criticism on television, radio, the Internet, blogs, e-mail and daily conversation about the election.

“Barack Obama needs to grow up. Leftist blogs and others in the press constantly say false things about me and my family. Don’t they take an oath to “uphold and defend the Constitution?” I believe that a clear violation of the 1st amendment violates that oath.

A few someones need to resign over this, or be forced out. A firing offense, this. Law enforcement is to remain neutral, at least in public. They have publicly declared a preference for a particular campaign and threatened to use their official powers to advance that preference.

We have video of public officials saying they would take action to quell the lies about Obama. We have them saying they would prosecute those who are spreading “lies” about Obama.

Or is that hyperbole? Guess it depends on how high your bar for evidence is.

I guess what I’m saying is that, unfortunately, the prudent thing to do is to wait UNTIL they DO something. Up until that point they can just claim they were going to go after serious and obvious libel or slander (which are illegal).

huh, nobody knows what they mean by lies. They are abusing their power just by threatening people. Slander is not a criminal crime, it is a civil concern which Obama would have to enforce in civil court.

Threatening to file charges and/or arrest someone is a felony as has been posted here numerous times.

Seems the Governor of the state was willing to DO something by denouncing the actions of these people. Do Gov’s normally make these kinda of statements lightly?
