We’ve lost about eight of our class of 43, one last year. My good friend has cancer and may not make it for the one in 2009. Several have had prostate cancer, I’ve had two heart attacks and am on dialysis, others have had hip replacements and other various old folk problems. But we still try to get together when we can, usually every five years but it was suggested that we do it more often, LOL. Seems like the sickest are the ones who travel the furthest to be there. Sigh.

I felt the same way at times as your other classmate did but since I’ve been on the committee to do the reunions, I’ve changed my mind. Many are Christians now, and of course as we grow older and hopefully wiser, the things that bothered us then don’t any longer. I enjoy our times together.

Am so sorry about your ill health. Will add you to my prayer list - the length of it is beginning to be another major concern to me. My high school was in the KC area - the heart of America and when I grew up, one of the most conservative places in the entire USA. Since most of the class still lives in that area, sent a broadcast to the 250+ on the email list re the First Amendment infringement from the Obama Truth Squad which recently occurred in Missouri. Recd several emails this morning from some telling me they weren’t “interested” in having anything political sent to them. Sad state of affairs, particularly since one of them responding is a Christian minister. Breaks my heart. We’ll meet one of these days. In the meantime, God keep you safe.
