I see serious problems with the idea of thinking that American soldiers would have much will or success imposing Large scale martial law on American citizens. I would be far more concerned about mexican military since we seem to be becoming desensitized to them crossing the border.

It is interesting considering that at least one congressman claimed on the house floor that he was told that there would be martial law if the bailout failed.

So far, it appears Wall Street is bailing out of the bail out.

You're fooling yourself. American soldiers will carry out their mission as ordered no matter who the "bad guys" are. If ordered to act against US citizens, the soldiers will be told by the chain of command that the enemy is a secessionist group, a white supremacist militia, a pedophilic cult, or a terrorist organization. In such a situation, the idea that our boys would mutiny, shoot their officers, and join the "bad guys" is infinitesimally low.
